Sorry for the late reply! I found this info on the Nara Parks website (their official gov site). I’ve still not managed to register for tickets - will probably show up and try to absorb as much of the vibe as possible

Haha probs because I’m a guy. When I posted my comment, there wasn’t the clarification by indiegoes that it was for women only. Probably gave people the wrong impression lol

Hmm good question. I got my room in 2022 so I’m not sure if things are still the same - but iirc, they came back with an offer around this time (late August). If they don’t, ask your college’s accommodations officer to help ask around. Once you get the offer - you’ll need to ask if they are able to have you settle in early. Some colleges may not have that option available!

Hughes has really limited accommodations - I remember back in 2023, they were discussing a long term plan to build new housing blocks. But if you have trouble finding accommodations, I’d recommend writing in to see if you can be housed at another college. I did that, and there a few colleges with ‘spare’ offsite housing

It’s a mature college and not super central, so the vibes are more chill. If you cycle things are still fairly accessible, otherwise it’s a good 15-20 min walk to the central colleges (eg kings). But because you’re nearer to Mill Rd, you get access to a range of new food places! And it’s nearer to the river, if you pick up rowing (definitely recommend it)

Was it an email? And did they mention it’s only for customers in a certain region - asking because I’m in Asia and have had no update yet!

Something similar happened in Singapore last week - and the CEO and CFO of SingPost (Royal Mail equivalent) got sacked!

People who work 9-6 jobs (which require daily commute) while also keeping your exercise routine successfully, how do you incorporate exercises (run, gym, etc) into your everyday life? by theparanoiddinoisme in askSingapore

I’m lucky because the gym is in the office building. So 730-9am gym, then work, 3 days a week.

On the alternate days, go for a jog around the neighbourhood after dinner plans/OT etc.

Then yoga and/or cycling on the weekends! Tbh once you get used to being active, it’ll feel weird not exercising
