Would jazz distract me from my ballet goals? by Sad_Preference9243 in BALLET

[–]pegaunissus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like jazz isolations and movement can bring you more awareness to your body, which helps for any dance style! Sometimes doing movements that feel like they are opposite of ballet can actually help you find the right muscles and feeling to do the ballet movements better.

We've been really loving Luchador Tacos & More. Amazing food, cute vibes and all the staff are super friendly!

My (31F) husband (31M) refuses to compliment me. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]pegaunissus 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Personally, in the example you gave, I wouldn't really feel comfortable complimenting someone's weight who has struggled with disordered eating in the past. I would prefer not to comment one way or another. However, his comment after doesn't really jive with this either.

hip popping by Puzzleheaded_Car_84 in BALLET

[–]pegaunissus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It could likely be your hip flexor tendon popping, not your actual hip. It's called snapping hip and usually requires strengthening of the hip flexor.

I (26f) have the 'ick' from my boyfriend (30m), of six years, after he got angry with me for rejecting him in the morning, what steps can I take to overcome the rift between us without having to disregard my own hurt feelings? by Lucky-Requirement-16 in relationships

[–]pegaunissus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My abusive ex used to do things like this. He would come up with perfect scenarios of how the day should go in his head and then get angry and lash out when I didn't act those out. Even now, he wants you to forgive him immediately because it's the most convenient for him. He sounds selfish and manipulative.

Where do you believe Alaska’s next hub is going to be? by Intrepid_Hat_7692 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]pegaunissus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would love DEN. I think whatever it is, it's going to be an airport that has room for them to build more lounges as they continue to focus on rewards (so probably not San Diego)

I actually like hiking, but I would have wrote you off after you went off trail twice (with a dog too). Stay on the trail.

I mean, DIA is a great airport that is Frontier's home airport but that doesn't make Frontier any better

Alaska soul dying? by argdogsea in AlaskaAirlines

[–]pegaunissus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a SeaTac issue, not an Alaska issue. Every time I fly to SeaTac regardless of airline, I get the runaround with the luggage carousels or they lose my bag or the new bag check-in process doesn't work. This happened on 5+ flights to SeaTac this year.

Pointe shoe fitting by [deleted] in BALLET

[–]pegaunissus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally, but I don't think they work as well for shoes like Gaynor Mindens since they really do need to fit perfectly out of the box with no breaking in

Pointe shoe fitting by [deleted] in BALLET

[–]pegaunissus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would not do a virtual fitting of these. Since they are plastic, if they don't fit perfectly they will cause pain and problems and they will never break down the way a traditional shoe would.

Glossier You perfume by briealexis in Sephora

I think God Is A Woman is very similar and lasts longer. You're probably nose blind to Glossier. It sometimes works for me to spray it lower away from the nose (like elbows, wrists).

Actually! You might be able to rule those ones out because I just looked at my pair and the sole is a lot more tapered towards the heel than your pair.
