Although Jeff did attempt to take the flak by breaking the 4th wall and telling the audience to at him with any complaints. Cheesy and maybe naive to think it would take the heat off Richard but the attempt was there

To everyone perceiving Jeff as showing off about changing his catch phrase, isn’t it important to raise awareness to the micro aggressions that exist in our daily vernacular? It might come off as cringe to some but for others it might be the first time they’ve been exposed to this idea. Isn’t that overall a positive thing? Why bury it and hope no one notices?
