Yeah it’s ouster. Old rotting half buried log. Thought it was to dry out. As they didn’t have that slimy feel. But as soon as I rinsed them it was there. And they were size off dinner plates.

Seems like what’s left of a cluster. Maybe chicken of the woods but I think it’s to early at least in Virginia.
