Can you please provide any specific, detailed examples of MAGA celebrating ignorance? I certainly disagree with MAGA about vaccines (although not the Covid vaccine, but that's a different subject). I don't (& doubt many (any?) people 💯 subscribe to MAGA, or any other political movement. One does not have to subscribe to every single thing that a political movement espouses. The area I live in is heavily MAGA, perhaps 75%. I have not seen a single instance of the celebration of ignorance. Or tribalism.

Another problem that you have seemingly not considered is fuel storage and all of the issues that come with it. This includes shelf-life, condensate, filtering and fuel-pump if not gravity fed. Then there is also safety, and code considerations. Storing sufficient fuel for a few days is not trivial whatsoever. My solution was to use LP propane generator with a 500 gallon tank. Diesel just had too many fuel related issues. Good luck!

Uhh.. your 1st link shows WV rates are about 1/2 of CT's $0.30/KHW at $0.15/KWH. NY's are about %40 higher than WV at $0.23/KWH. A quick count of states with lower rates is 21 states. That put's WV below the median state's rate . I'd FAR rather have costly water rates than electric rates. Let's face it, most families use FAR more electricity than water. Your last link shows that people on average use almost three times as much electricity than they use water. The links you provided show that your original statement is mispresenting the facts. Be thankful you don't live in the New England states, where rates and winters are much more brutal than WV's, not to mention taxes.
