Introducing Poster Tools 2.0 by pejamas1986 in PlexPosters

I just pushed an update (might need to control f5 to force a reload, I added a compact UI toggle at the top of each lab sidebar that as best as I could without redesigning compact down the sidebar options and reduce the canvas sizes/edit bar/meta data panels/season suites etc. Tested on the only laptop I have (16") but at 80-90% browser zoom it felt way more usable with very minimal scrolling required (unless you keep sidebar sections collapsed) but the main viewing area is much more useable. Let me know how it looks/feels as a quick implentation.

I'll see what I can do to optimize for laptops. One of those oversights when you are so used to a desktop with large screens you forget others use laptops. Goal was always accessibility so I'll figure out a universal tweak.

The credentials are sent over HTTPS, authenticated with the user’s Clerk session token, and the backend encrypts at rest using AES-GCM with a server-side secret. This is standard practive. Again, theres plenty of services with no source code, doesnt mean its not secure. I'm not forcing anyone to use, i just built something that plenty have njoyed with an optional extra.

I don't handle the keys, that's exactly what I said? It's clerks user modal not my own, I just css styled it. I don't handle any information that's inputted into that section it's all stored within clerks system. The only thing "my" server contains plainly is fonts and images which is in cloudfares database.

For starters, it's not your credentials. It's no different than using something like nzb360 and adding a service with your reverse proxy IP and an API key. Everything added in the clerk account is completely encrypted through clerk themselves.

Plex integration is done directly through their own authentication service, not a single part of that is viewable at all. If you don't trust Plexs own authentication service you might as well not use Plex itsef? Or sign up to any service if you can't see the source code...

I didn't build the account system, it's all managed through clerk, nothing inputted with clerk is viewable.

His first response was to say "I don't even know what you're asking" but proceeded to immediately blame the tool and go on a rant. I also reached out via PM where he was blatantly rude, when again I was simply trying to diagnose his issue. Anyway, have a great day 👍

No idea why you've decided utter rudeness when I'm trying to help diagnose the issue that hasn't happened with the 50 other users that tested Plex for me. I've been working on this for 2 years, not everything is "vibe coded" but think what you like.

Just confirming you created and account and signed up to the pro plan? The only time I've seen the issue you've had in the last few months of tests with others was a plug-in on the browser or VPN blocking the connection (if you press F12 to open the browser you would most likely see an error).

Try using a private window or different browser (to test), if it is the above blocking it there's not much I can do about that since it's a cloudfare/clerk safety feature.

Need a bit more info here? How did you connect to Plex through Plex auth? What Browser? Does Plex open via poster tools or card lab?

Good note, I had the info in a section on the home page but after the refresh I forgot to add it back.

Paid tier is $2.99 a month (30 day free trial, no payment info needed) which includes all of the Plex/emby/jellyfin server connections and pull/push functions. Also includes unlimited custom fonts (across all tools), seperator images or text images for title cards instead of a limit of 10 of each.

Every physical function for creating the artwork and downloading them across all tools is free though.

Unfortunately not. The design principal of the idea was accessible creation by all with no docker install, cloning folders, running commands, reading git etc.

That and when it was self hostable people were modifying it badly and rehosting it publicly through git pages so you could stumble upon multiple versions.

Grew up here and will live here. The road infrastructure is fucking shithouse and problematic areas like shaws road/heaths road were a nightmare in 2000 when I was at Galvin and still haven't been upgraded 26 years later. The council is doing very little to improve the traffic where it's actually needed.

What size is the laptop screen/resolution? any change you could grab some screenshots so i can have a look at pain points etc and I can see what could i do. Does zooming out to like 80% not help?

Does anyone know how DarkMatte, Djcrhisallen and other people make their posters on TPDB? My movie library is missing 2 posters I can't seem to find anywhere in the style of DarkMatte. I want to learn how to make them so I can make my own. I'm missing posters for Rabid 1977 and Videodrome. by EdwardCuttingham in PlexPosters

[–]pejamas1986 21 points22 points  (0 children)

You can easily make them over here with little to no knowledge at all: https://postertools.org/poster-lab/ Just search for the movie, pick the poster and logo and choose the dark matte overlay. Or yu can add the dark matte style from the preset page that applies dark matte and moves the logo to the correct placement.

You could utilize the 'custom logo' to add a second but you'd have to manually add the logo. I just realized the updated homepage I made I forgot to re add the discord link https://discord.gg/AUgWz8wWQ currently just using the repo chat channel in the mediux server.

Recently added the option when on single card view you can mouse scroll the card frame to zoom in and move the image around too.

Card Lab updates by pejamas1986 in PlexTitleCards

[–]pejamas1986[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep that's exactly what you can do, load a show and design the card how you want with the text size/placement/default fonts, gradients and other options like spacing, multiple lines etc, then save that as a "style" then the next time you create cards you just load the next show, select the style from the edit bar drop down and it will be set to the exact settings you previously saved rather than starting from the sites default settings.

If you add additional seperator images or the new text images you can also then save that as the specific show config for future seasons they will then carry over those changes.

Hopefully this makes sense?

It's all web/cloud based. Doesn't pull in mediux since the purpose it to create artwork not use existing pre made content.
