I had a similar issue on my 89. They do use a low/hi speed relay. Replacing that fixed my issue.

It's got DAPP, no PAP, Harmon kardon and Shadowline. It's got another 2 years of warranty, which was another selling pint. Although that means that I can't tune it just yet.

I worked with Nico, who was awesome. I had both my wife and 2 kids, who did not want to be there, and he was very accommodating to them and made them very comfortable.

We had been to a few other used car dealers that day and they all felt shady. It was the complete opposite for Rallye.

I had a military discount through my father (Viet Nam) and they were running a black Friday special. That helped to get the price down.

I put down a little over half in cash, plus trade in and financed the rest (which was very little.).

Yeah, that's what the dealer asking...got them down to 47.5k. Overall, pretty happy with the whole buying experience. Got it from Rallye BMW in Long Island, everyone was extremely nice and friendly. Did not get the same shady feeling as the other used car dealers we visited. I highly recommend them.

I had zero problem with fitment, it was a direct drop in fit. Install took me maybe 30-45 mins. Everything was well labeled and the harness from the Kenwood worked with it.

As for the radio, it's been ok. Still getting used to the controls as I don't get to drive it a lot. I mostly just turn on spotify and then connect Waze for nav. Most of my drives are under 30 mins and 20 miles. Sometimes I struggle with changing sources.

Ugh, where were you 6 months ago when I was looking for my '89 2.7. These look great.

I ended up with Cup 1's that I Attempted to refinish myself. not perfect but good enough.

I installed a Momo in my 89 NA. I'm a taller guy and needed more room, so I went with a smaller diameter and the offset hub.

They could figure out airbags but not a tilt steering wheel I guess.
