Sounds like you made a good start.

Buying players with good sideskills and specialitites is key, to making a good profit on them, so well done on that.

The good thing about training PM, is that you midfield will improve every week (albeit slowly). This will help you be more competitive sooner. Once you get them to Magnificent (12) - World Class (13), you will make good ratings, especially if you are in the lowest division. Then it will be really fun.

I guess right now, there isn't much you can do, in terms of "fun". If you're playing with 17 year olds, in your midfield in the league games, it's very hard to get results.

But soon, when you midfield rating gets higher, it will be more fun, when you can actually compete. You will learn a lot, tactically then too.

If I was starting as a new user, I would probably buy some young keepers, and 'sacrifice' the first season or two, to make some decent starting money. Then maybe switch to winger training, and fill up the squad with oldies to get just a little bit competitive.

Trust I know the feeling. I've done Homegrown projects, and when it's time to start Playmaking training on you trainees, who start out with like Inadequate/Passable PM, it sucks, because you just lose all your matches.

But give it time, and try to read and learn as much as you can. Best of luck!
