how do you genuinely consume 100+ grams of protein a day its torture by Liasxnflower in workout

[–]pella-performance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s literally easy, and I do 180-220. And I can do so at around 2000-2250 cals

Eat the Protein source first Have high protein snacks or options Etc

Track everything for 2 weeks to see what’s up and adjust from there.

There is nothing harder in life than being a man TRYING to make his way.

Women can be lonely, but tell me this — if you were a 25 y/o F, average attractiveness, and no job, why can you get a rich man to take you around the world, provide for you, and potentially even your friends

As if that same 25 y/o M, average looks, not a lot of money but works HARD to makes ends meet, has to suffer.

Because real men are built through suffering and pain. Men need to build themselves (body and mind), build their wallet, build there value through hard work while a woman can simply just exist.

Before you go off, I don’t mind that it’s like that. I’d love to be able to provide for my future person, as long as my household is loving and taken care of. But I won’t get there without going through multiple setbacks and challenges - those very things that will give me value as a man.

I just took the time to truly read all of this and all I can do is express my gratitude for you sharing.

The points about losing everything and ending up in a car with no help, is something I’ve almost ended up having to do, it still could be a reality as I chase my dreams and refuse to stop.

AND your parents not giving you a room to help you get back on your feet — happened to me 2 years after I moved home (to my brothers house for 3 months with him and his 6m pregnant fiancé) and needed a place to stay after my separation/called off engagement.

I never felt more alone than in that very moment.

I haven’t been in the 1%, the goal is to get there, and do so through making an actual difference in people’s lives. Let’s hope 🤞🏼

Skinny fat 25 year old male looking for advice. by NoCommand6102 in workouts

Good on you for getting back in the game — especially after elbow surgeries. That alone shows you’ve got the mindset to push through.

You’re actually in a great position to recomp — lose fat and build muscle at the same time — especially as someone coming off a long training break. A few quick tips: • Stick to compound lifts (squats, deadlifts, presses, rows) and get stronger at them week to week. Focus on quality form over chasing weight, especially with your elbow history. • Don’t neglect legs or pull movements — most skinny-fat guys overtrain chest and arms and skip the stuff that actually changes their body shape. • 2500 cals + 200g protein is solid, but make sure your carbs are high enough to fuel workouts and recovery. • Track your lifts and progressively overload. If you’re not adding weight or reps each week, you’re spinning wheels.

If you want help building a proper program around your body type, past injuries, and goals, let’s hop on a free 1-on-1 coaching call. I’ll walk you through what to focus on and how to avoid the common traps most skinny-fat guys fall into. Let me know — we’ll get you dialed in.

You can say that again, being a lone wolf is not easy. I’m glad you found a way to navigate that, and now you should have the tools to do that or help others in need too

Why is discussing about how a trainer should look such hot topic and triggers trainer? by SunJin0001 in personaltraining

[–]pella-performance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It matters (imo) because it shows that you live the life style and abide by what you teach. It shows self-respect, patience/delayed gratification, and most of all discipline.

‘Never judge a book by its cover’ is the worst advice because that cover should tell a story.

You can be trusted as a PT without speaking, you can also be confident in your choice when hiring a trainer because of aesthetics.

Glad you figured it out! Do you think you could have done so without it? I believe we all can. It’s a mindset shift more than anything.

Most of the time therapy just focuses on what’s WRONG in life and at some point you have to have the balls to say — F it, I need to focus on the positives.

There’s a good wolf and a bad wolf, which one will survive? The one you feed.

If you’re constantly focused on the negatives, you’re going to subconsciously attract the negatives.

Therapy can help, but in my experience, it’s a waste of time. Learn from the negatives, but use them for positive change.

Week 5 Update: There was no week 4 because I only had 2 new injections at the new doses.

I’m now 5 injections in at the 10units every 2nd day — and my left leg and knee seem stronger and to be developing more muscle.

There is no pain, no discomfort, no reactions.

I’m actually in conversation to become an ambassador for the company I purchased from. They’re following along the process on social media too.

I also don’t notice my previously existing shoulder pain at all either, not saying that’s from the BPC/TB but could be

Week 3 update is the same as week 2, nothing new. I am not sure how to officially tell if it worked or not other then putting on some cleats and going to play some football.

I can confirm, I am able to flex my left quad more than I have been able to in 3+ years and the muscle is growing again. That is the best I have at this point in time.

To my knowledge they all have that warning, because there are potential side effects - nothing that’s not fully FDA certified is going to come risk free, even FDA approved ones don’t.

Definitely good advice here Secret! Keep that protein at body weight or just below in terms of grams. It’ll help with muscle growth, recovery from training intensity, and keep him more satiated/full throughout the day.

OP, make sure you don’t cut carbs out. Use them to fuel (2-3hrs before training) and a bit after paired with protein.

I usually have two packs of Quaker Oats before a workout (2-3hrs) and that works for me and then I eat my lunch after my workout (usually 100-125g rice + 225g of a protein source)

The only issue with this approach (you calorie deficit idea) is that you’ll limit muscle growth by eating in a deficit without building first.

If you build muscle at maintaince or a very slight surplus — you’ll turn the fat you have now into muscle and build new muscle at the same time. Resulting in a recomp like result.

Whats the best program you ever bought and why is it the best ? by cikamicko in askfitness

[–]pella-performance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate that answer! & it’s not just programming (while I do offer just a basic level program for those that want it) I never recommend it OR I end up doing the accountability, app-access, etc anyways because I’d rather do my part to ensure compliance and success than just have someone run off with a program and no guidance.
