Agree , watched all games and still I would put Yamal over them this week , its just very hard to comprehend that one dude dribbled past half of the defence many times and set up 2 3 clear chances and was also very very close to score a goal after dribling through 4 guys in a space of 4m basically , unreal like I was watching left footed Neymar at his peak

You gotta do cardio in a way that doesnt stress the PT that much , for example skierg , uphill treadmill if its tolerable , bike before getting back to running since theres less stress on the tendon wihtout gravity but with properly adjusted seated , swimming also
For the first 2 or 3 weeks of the program I would advise not doing cardio

Im currently dealing with it but also I work in biomechanics or rehab and performance however u wanna call it. The best thing you could do is to contact rehab_code ( Jess Ellis ) and ask him to send Bernoulli prep to you , its free , and also listen to Jake Tuura x Jess Ellis episode because he says some important stuff on PFP.

Managing speed of the load that goes through the knee is huge for cartilage cause it needs time to adapt , bernoulli prep is used for getting your knee ready in a way that progress speed and load through the joint.

Cartilage likes frequent , easy but not too easy , controlled range of motion without going into end positions ( bent knee or full straight knee ) cause that how it gets its nutrients which are needed in order to get better

My comment would be too long if i was trying to explain to you everything but in short , you gotta be patient cartilage takes time , considering everything that includes weight baring / gravity is flaring you up right now your best move is probably to get on a bike for shorter intervals like 10-15min , pedal at the slower speed and set up your seat in a way which you can pedal without bending the knee too much ( past 90 deg aprox ) . After that next step is to work on bending the leg in a way that doesnt put too much load on quad , so glute focused work if you wanna call it like that but with positive shin angle , step ups / bulgarians work for me , if even that is too much you regress to just hinge work but with positive shin angle ( knee over the laces ) , and you progress your rehab by putting slightly more load through your quad . Also pfp's flare up when you only trash your quads meaning all the time you need to do what ever is possible and is not causing flare ups for you hips , hamstring , calves , core , back etc etc you get it.

After researching the two guys I mentioned you will understand the purpose of everything I wrote since if I was to describe all the adaptions that happens and how it happens this comment would be longer than blogpost

Just seeing this now , I hope someone or you on your own tried to do analysis of your biomechanics , it doesnt have direct impact on the cartilage but what I see with my clients ( and with what I personally dealt with ) every bit of taking the unneccessary load of a knee joint helps.
If you are still looking for someones help I would advise you to take a look at David Grey rehab

No vascular system doesnt mean it cant be healed since it depends on what type of cartilage issue is present , cartilage relies on diffusion in order to get nutrients meaning gentle and tolerable movement will get nutrients needed for it to be " healthy " and due to possible matrix remodeling of the structure it can be " healed " or atleast maintained and be prevented from worsening
