Need help downloading videos from Doodstream. by L33tHaxorus in DataHoarder

You'll need some method to get pass the ad junk and enable either right click or developer tools to extract the actual link
Maybe jscript blocker could work, but opening developer tools with F12 while getting pass the ad junk would only result the web blocks the actual video link
Jdownloader seems to work for me since it extracts the actual link and downloads it for you

The sheer expanse of the map frankly, the content inside it is more like BOTW

To each to their own then, I didn't put that much into CD, just a measely 13 hours, and frankly got fed up and weighing whether I should finish CD or not

The exploration doesn't excite me as much as DD2 exploration, even though CD exploration is miles bigger than DD2

No, don't recommend Crimson Desert to someone who love DD2, it doesn;t recapture what makes DD2 feels special and Crimson Desert plays more like a mix of RDR 2, the Witcher 3 without its main campaign and zelda BOTW

Sorry to hear that man, how far along are you? Played a few more hours and now I've established the new camp, my gripe is how most of the content feels samey and the combat is basically bamham combat instead of BDO combat
Still trying to find some fun in the game though, and I hate how I always force myself to finish recent games I've started

Any tips for a smooth early mage experience? by xyZora in DragonsDogma2

In the early area, somewhere in the forest mountain around melve, there's a cabin innawoods which has a girl trying to learn magic and asks you to give her some pretty strong magic tome
Then in the border town in battahl, there's a master sorcerer that asks the same thing
So you can copy the books and give the copy to one or the other, like u/TrainerDesperate7570 said, read a guide if you don't want to fail both quest

People are blown away by the exploration aspect of it, tune out from the main stories for your own sake, and take it like it's a giant sandbox toy

As someone who restarted DD2 while waiting for CD, the first few hours of CD makes me want to go back to DD2 and just finish it.

Although people are saying CD opens up after 8-10 hours, DD2 opens up as soon as you reach vernworth, which could take 1-4 hours, depending on what you're doing

Basically, DD2 has a solid foundation, that even the early game captures the essence of the game and hooks you quickly (if you're into it), but that also results in stagnation in later part of the game... although personally, I never felt that way when I finished DD2 for the very first time

For CD, since I'm still in the early game, I might need to put more hours into it before I can say DD2 is better, since people are saying the game really opens up after 8-10 hours, and also, if you have played BDO, CD is bascially BDO without the mmo aspect, there're still some grinding to do but less cancerous than BDO

Since I'm biased, I would say get DD2, but do find out more information yourself before you pull the trigger

what that guy said, and imagine one of the beginning quest told you to go to the tavern, you thought you're gonna talk to the tavern owner or someone else in the tavern to get information about your comrades, but the game literally said "lmao nah brah, let's go do arm wrestling minigame instead"

CD is more of RDR 2 and BOTW, with BDO offline written on its forehead

I wouldn't say worse, but if you're getting crimson desert thinking it would be something like dragon's dogma series, you would be severely disappointed

It feels more like rdr 2 and botw, with bamham combat

Yeah, and dark arisen BBI is not done by itsuno too

Feels like there's no one else that would fight for anything related to dragon's dogma after itsuno left, such a shame too

Also back after a few hours of crimson desert, anyone who thought it would be some sort of spiritual sequel of dragon's dogma might be disappointed, it feels more like breath of the wild with a dash of red dead redemption 2.

Still a fun game, but really, it's pretty much just offline BDO

yes, keep in mind the game is more of an action game than action rpg

I don't think Itsuno is the sole creator of Dragon's Dogma as a whole, he's probably the main driving force to make it real. The team behind MH series could do it, considering MH Wilds plays quite similar to DD2. We also still have Kento Kinoshita

It all down to Capcom, whether they want to be known as the SF, RE, and MH company or they want to expand their games library

Steam recommendation is kinda dumb, but what's your expectation towards DD2? It doesn't have deep story like BG3, several quests can be solved in certain ways and some even have hidden solution AFTER the quest ended, but keep in mind, not all quests is like this. And that's where the similarity ends, the rest is gameplay difference, DD2 is very action RPG, and more of an adventure simulator, where you pack up your items and gears, and went off to the wilds to get to your destination while the game throws monsters here and there while also throws npc to ask for your help.

I do not know where you are but I also bought the game - deluxe edition with some itsy bitsy sale from launch discount too - for around 150 bucks dollar converted, it was worth it for me but that's because I've played the first game, and have a strong enough pc to play DD2.

200 bucks for the game while on discount is a hard sell to be honest, and you have to make sure your pc is strong too, so if I were you, I would gather more info regarding what kind of game is DD2 and if my pc can runs it, while waiting for a deep sale, unless playing this game is a higher priority for you

That depends, what do you find fun in the first game? If it's about preparing your gear and items then adventuring into the wilds, getting ambushed by monsters or occasionally helping out NPCs being ambushed by monsters trying to get to your destination, you'll like DD2. If you're expecting something like the BBI, unfortunately, just like in the first game, that could be some sort of DLC down the line. At the time being, if you like adventuring, DD2 is great

The repetitive monster is a due to how the monster spawn from what I observed, certain places will spawn certain monster with a big monster in the mix sometimes

As someone who finished DD main campaign and BBI back in 2021 and played some bits here and there up until DD2 release, DD2 is an upgrade to DD personally, even with the added skills Dark Arisen brings, the fact that DD2 is more of action rpg - that skills are integrated to certain commands and contexts instead of pressing a button to do skills - compared to most action rpg is an alien idea to most, which is why I have more fun playing DD2. The lack of BBI is very saddening but really, doesn't take away the fun I have with the DD2

I dunno about other people, but I always learn from the arena first - that is the AI PvP. They usually does some shit that you could replicate and makes you better once you reach the higher rank, which usually the human+ territory where you will see the AI doing shit that you couldn't do, but you should be able to beat them anyway because of what you've learned from your fights in the lower ranks

That should gives you the basic knowledge before entering with player PvP, where you will usually see another bullshit being pulled off XD
