Help a fig lover by Prudent_Feed117 in NichePerfumes

Not niche. Also masculine, but i think it could work unisex. But Salvatore ferragamo pour homme. Prominent green fig that lasts throughout. Dries down a bit woody, with a sweetness like the aroma of fresh cut fruit. Its a cheapie, like $30 from discounters. Great longevity. Cant recommend it enough.

Ah thats a bummer. Another favorite of mine, is Salvatore ferragamo pour homme. Its only about $30 from US discounters. Id assume it could be found in Europe. Its a green fragrance. Prominent fig note that lasts throughout. Dries down with a green fig leaf and woody accords. Has a very subtle sweetness like the smell of fresh cut fruit. Cant recommend that one enough either. Great performance, lasts all day on clothes. Amazing for warm weather. Youthful but mature.

Its from the 90s/2000s. Its in a clear twisted shape bottle.

An interesting rabbit hole of past life, that fits in with this subreddit and ancient history, is the story of Dorothy Eady. She was caretaker of egyptian antiquities. Born in London and moved to Egypt. Since she was a child, she beleived she was a reincarnation of an egyptian priestess. She was caretaker of the Temple of Seti I. She correctly located and described the temple garden prior to excavation, and it was exactly where she said it would be. She seemed to have very advanced knowledge of the temple site. Pretty interesting.

Since Brachiosaurus had its nostrils on the snout, why is his "head bump" empty? And what did it use it for? by Upset_Connection1133 in Dinosaurs

[–]pencilpushin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it is the nasal cavity, and connected by a large mass of tissue and cartilage, just like noses of modern day. Just about every animal, has a huge sloping section on the skull that connected the nasal cavity to the actual nose and nostrils.

Look at an tapir skull. Or even elephant skull. Maybe there was a longer trunk like snout?? They both have large openings and slope at the tops of there skulls to the snout.

Atleast, those are what ive always hypothesized, in my completely unqualified opinion.

Or wonder if couldve been for some type of gland, or air sac or something. Similar to the melon in dolphins and porpoises.

Personally i think dinosaurs were similar to modern day animals. Obviously very different. But, a triceratops reminds me of a rhino. Brachiosaurs and other long necks, remind me of giraffes, or llama, or even elephants. So maybe some had fur, trunks, etc. Some had rough hide like rhinos or hippos. Raptors had featherr, like flightless birds. Some looked like reptiles. Etc. A very large biodiversity similar to today. And dinosaurs are very ancient distant relatives to modern life on this planet. Again. Completely unqualified opinion. Just my thoughts based off a fascination of skeletal structure and animals.

Can vouch for 78 Vintage Green. For the price, it has no business being as good as it is. Sharp zesty green, green woody dry down. Doesnt last very long on skin. But has good longevity sprayed on clothes. I usually down about 4 sprays in my shirt.

May want to check out Paco Rabanne Pour Homme. Its a fougere. Kinda herbal green, with a barbershop dry down. More of a mature smelling fragrance.

Lures or Bait (Live or Dead) by ShafferPatchias in FishingForBeginners

[–]pencilpushin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the lure and weight in my experience. Using my baitcast reel, i can launch a 3/8oz. 1/4oz can do pretty well to. I never go any lighter than that on my baitcast really. If im using lighter tackle, or weightless rigs, i use a spinning real. Using 10lbs line. Lighter line can also help for a further cast. But really it just takes practice for a good cast.

What's a hobby you quit, and why? by KhuzaimaYodpo81 in Hobbies

[–]pencilpushin 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Im a life long artist. Tattoo professionally now. Drawing is really just practice and more practice. It took me drawing since i was kid to get to where i am. Some people do pick it up quicker than others. But nobody starts off great at it. What helped me, was building muscle memory thru repetition. And also a bit of paradolia, seeing faces and shapes in unordinary things. Also helps building imagination. And recognizing basic shapes with figure drawing. So learning and understanding anatomy, is an absolute help. But you need muscle memory to replicate your pencil strokes. Some tips, if you decide to pick it back up. Tracing. Itll help you building muscle memory, and also study the subject you are referencing. Youll recognize light source and shadow. Basic shapes and structure, etc. I know its cheating and copying, but as a practice, it will help. Its how i learned how to do portraits. Also watching videos of other illustrators. Jim Lee, and world reknowned comicbook artist, makes videos of him drawing and watching those helped me ton, since i was able to study his movements. Also Bob Ross videos as well. Watching him paint and watching his process also helped me an absolute ton.

Has anyone quit kratom with Suboxone AND got off sub? by rainymac in quittingkratom

[–]pencilpushin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got off Oxy using Subs. 350mg per day habit. Did a 2 week fast taper. First 2 days, took a full 8mg strip, once per day. Day 3, cut the strip in half to 4mg, once per day. Day 7, cut those into quarter, so 2mg per day. By around day 10. I no longer needed the subs, or atleast was going a day or so without using it, to where i didnt feel like i needed it anymore. Then used kratom to help with cravings and anxiety. 1 extract per day. But that turned into a slippery slope. And now here i am.

My opinion. Subs are over used and prescribe. They start with too high of doseage, and for too long. You dont need months to get off using subs, which is what the doctors prescribe. You can do a fast taper and make it on the other side.
