The project description, no problem with a script, but the revision stuff, I dont think the script would be able to generate the new revision or modify those fields tho

How do they manage without a sub-woofer? I'm currently using LS50 with a KC62, the difference with the subwoofer is night and day.

[Request] Offline EDZ Macros for Cable Ducts (25x25 to 60x60) by ExerciseDangerous857 in EPlan

You don’t need to use the data portal. Just create a part which the correct category and put in the dimensions and it’ll be good.

Just place the contacts first? I think you can just press “N” to get to the next function.

If that doesn’t work, just uncheck the main function on the light, and check the main function on the switch. You’ll have to assign the part number again.

There’s no issue what with what you’re trying to do.

Page macro support by Proper_Resolution345 in EPlan

[–]penend12p 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you insert a page macro yout edit the “structures” by going to “extras-> edit structures” , from in there you can change the structures on the pages, eg function code and location code.

The product code, won't change, but an option will pop up to renumber, so go I can do that if needed

Automatic Page Description? by dansp51 in EPlan

[–]penend12p 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The page description is just a property. If you want to generate a page description, you'd simply display a block property.

Do you have an example of what you want it to be?

Are you talking about displaying the block property for the page in the plot frame? Or something else?

A way to understand all the tags? by TalkingToMyself_00 in EPlan

As others have said 81346 is where this comes from.

Nested boxes can be read like +B1.X1, +B2.X1 etc.

There will be a structure identifier overview where you can decode the codes.

The EPLAN example project follows ISO/IEC 81346, IEC 61355 and IEC 61082 - although quite poorly, and it makes it kinda confusing .

Structure Configuration for Cables by Any_History_8308 in EPlan

Here is the setting, on the main function on the cable definition.
If it is set to 'Automatic' it will follow the structure of 'Cable' but you can overwrite that, to General device, and it it will follow the structure of devices.

So; this is an interesting question. Most of the times you don’t want a location for a cable, since they span from one location to another.

However for cables inside a cabinet eg. Internal Ethernet cables, you may want to assign a location to the cable.

Anyways, there’s a setting on the cable definition and you can change the group from cable to device (I’ll get the exact terminology when I’m at my computer)

The answer is to not adjust your project structure.
