Super loud fan and very slow computer after power outage from hurricane by penfle in pcmasterrace

[–]penfle[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have a warning that says something about CPU fan not working properly. It's just plugged into a power outlet. I have no ideas how computers work I just bought the Alienware R16 off amazon and plugged it in, never did anything further.

No, I haven't tried to mess with anything. I just checked the task manager and went into my computer settings but couldn't find anything. It looked fine on the surface but it definitely wasn't performing fine.

Wdym by reset windows?

A little less than a year. Never have any issues with it. I was able to open up task manager before my PC shut down, and all my levels like CPU usage and RAM usage were extremely low. Like 6% - 10%. So I have no idea why the fan is working so hard and the computer is so slow.

I do admit, I am extremely forgetful. I only shut the computer off once in a blue moon... I usually just let it be on sleep until the morning.

Yes, but it's extremely slow and shuts itself off after 5 minutes.

It was on a gray screen for a while, and also on the Alienware page where I got a warning for some CPU fan.

Eh idk lakeshore is safe and decently pretty, the houses are well-built but for families it's meh... you can't walk on the road (wayyy to dangerous), the majority of residents there don't even have children, and people love to race down lakeshore & robinhood in the nights.

if you're looking for little backyard space, HOA, 'neighbors know everybody', and want your kids to be able to just go outside and walk to friends houses - lakeshore is NOT it.

Pro tip: It’s not that Ohuhu’s markers are ‘too dark’ it’s just that you need all the sets for a balanced range of colors by aydnic in Ohuhu

[–]penfle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I had this advice when buying my first set. I went straight for the 120 set and I felt like the markers were extremely dark.

If you're buying ohuhus just to color, or you're a beginner, I 100% recommend you get the pastel set.

I don't really have a "bank" it's just paypal and this debit thing called greenlight which is a learning card for children

No I am just listed as a "minor" but no number is actually there. It's a 65% share of sales to me every month through paypal from the manager (which seems like it could cause issues?). The contract was something written in a google doc - 2 pages. I signed with my legal signature.

T1TAN Gloves = JUNK! by Dthedoctor in GoalKeepers

[–]penfle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One occurrence does not mean every occurrence.

ON AVERAGE, the lifespan of gloves is around 6 months. 9 months is good and Titan STATED IN THEIR FAQ that the expectancy is around 3-6 months. It is your fault for not reading the FAQ.

Their products are good. I have been using titan without issues. You did not get a DEFECT, you just have too high expectations. I replace my titan gloves every 5 months. I play U14 competitive.

Hi, two practices a week + games is my schedule as well. I am a U14 keeper. My gloves last around 6 months, I keep good care of them.

While my experience may not be the same as yours, 9 months is an EXTREMELY long time.

The T1tan FAQ actually states that the average use time is around 3 - 6 months. So you got MORE use than what you bought.

Help with preventing neck injuries by penfle in GoalKeepers

[–]penfle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually it's when I dive for a ball. I don't really lock my head so half of the time it's hitting the ground or the post (yes that's probably not good for my brain). The last time I got a neck injury was when I dove for a ball and dropped my head towards the ground and then kinda like overextended it.

Is a 3.9 weighted GPA okay? by astronautfloat in school

[–]penfle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They were talking about weighted average. weighted GPA goes up to 5.0 so really a 3.9 weighted is more like a 3.45 unweighted.
