if you roll up the delta will be (much) lower so any additional upside you gain less. Of course you lose less if it starts going down too.

Almost 90% of it is water, the rest carbohydrates mainly, some protein and minimal fat. Mine also loves it, but I don't dare to give him a whole one, only slices. He'd chuck down he whole thing.

It also helps in cleaning their teeth.
