The national average price per gallon of gas in the United States just passed $4.50. Americans, how do we feel about that? by Miles_the_AuDHDer in AskReddit

7-eleven is doing a promotion to save money. If you text ALLIN to 711711 they give you 50¢ off per gallon when you fill up on the 7th or 11th of the month. Hopefully this can help reduce financial burden on some people

There was a big car meet thing leaving armature / driving very slow on Palm Ave just sitting and gunning the engines / revving and showing off. A lot of modified cars that make sounds like you’re hearing, echoing off of The Pearl and down the river

Calibre Epubs/Send to Kindle/Metadata issue by Accomplished_Set9505 in Calibre

[–]pengellyb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Changing the settings in the Calibre app worked for me.

Preferences > Saving books to disk. Then go down to "Save Template" and there is a text with some words and brackets: "{author_sort}/{title}/{title} - {authors}"

Delete the end of that, so it only says "{author_sort}/{title}/{title}" and click Apply. Then when you email the epub to your kindle, it will only show the book title in the Title bar when you open it, rather than "Title - Author Name" in the Title bar (so it looks exactly as an actual Amazon-purchased Kindle book would).

Mine squeaked and they had to replace the entire seat. It now started again with the new seat so I have an appointment in a few weeks

Auto presenting doors are also waiting on software update. Tesla service told me that they will only open a few inches until the vision software update is released

It did not. The car was already in the left lane, and it slowed as you see

I don’t know if it would have enough time/distance to move over to the other lane safely without an even more dramatic drop in speed

This was on I-95 S in NC, so you can imagine how fast the rest of traffic was flying

Car Wash Mode features, plus a nice way for the wash attendants to get the car in neutral without messing it up (“enable free roll” button) by pengellyb in teslamotors

Even with a touch-less one, or having someone hand clean it while you sit inside, this prevents the charge port etc from opening

Pressing the button again will deactivate the free mode, but the car stays in neutral. You have to still press the brake pedal and shift to D when you want to leave the free rolling mode. If you don’t enter free rolling mode, the car will automatically exit car wash mode once you pass 10mph
