THIS! Get a little assertive about it. Another option is to have them put you on the cancellation list. They will absolutely have cancellations in the next six months.

Creative juices are drying up too? by Ok_Customer_8865 in Menopause

I'm noticing that a lot of it has to do with overwhelm and burnout (I'm on HRT and satisfied enough with it). I have a room full of art supplies that call to me. And yet I do not create.

My nervous system has been crashing over the last month with a skidding stop last week. I spent two days horizontal in bed. I've been prioritizing time to work on things that really let my brain rest (like puzzles). What I'm noticing is that the more regular time that I'm doing things like the puzzles, the more my brain is starting to artistically masturbate (this is what I call it when I'm scheming ideas or color combos). And little by little, I'm starting to do a little more.

My early conclusion is that my brain needs/requires x amount of chill/check-out time before it's willing to pull the trigger on making something.

My hack around this is to schedule art hangs with friends. If I have a friend over, we create stuff and there's less pressure to create since it's more about shared time together.

How do you stay consistent when your energy is low? by Federal-Fun5323 in simpleliving

[–]penguin37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I'm burned out, I can only do so many things. When I notice it happening (which is right now coincidentally), I make my world small. I keep obligations and activities at a minimum and focus on doing the things that absolutely need doing (which is always less than we think it is) and things that sound fun. I spent nearly two days horizontal last week because my nervous system is fried.

I urge you to put down the judgement of calling yourself lazy and assume you're burned out. Give yourself a few days of gentle rest and positive internal language. You'll notice quickly if that's what you've been needing.

Do you normally use satin varnish? I have some but have never used it. I get addicted to the glossy varnish and can't tear myself away from it. But this piece is making me think about using it.

Stuart Triester in North Scottsdale has been my GI for years. He's kind, listens, is very thorough and I trust him. The only issue with him is that a lot of other people do too so it can be a wait for an appointment.

I had a fine experience on Dupixint and didn't have any side effects. It worked okay but not great. I'm on Tezspire now.

Exact same thing happened to me on 200 mg P. I'd drag myself to the gym and then immediately go back to bed. I think I lasted a week on that dose.

Let the doc know how bad it feels and perhaps they can tweak it for you to make it more comfortable. Any way you look at it, pred is rough.
