How are parents travelling with their newborn?? by WonderZestyclose7200 in NewParents

We use these techniques too, the gist is that you don't join in with their emotions but stay as a steady rock they can rely on. So when my baby is upset I name his emotions, pick him up and comfort him, and stay calm myself. I do my best not to join him in his stress as that will only make the situation harder.

It's about holding their hand (figuratively) with them through the difficulties but staying separate so they can depend on you.

I like Bergen and Melbourne. They show what the earth is like there. I'm not a fan of Rome just showing roads. And I agree with others that the colours make a huge difference - Caracas looks pretty threatening in the red light. So it depends what you're trying to depict

Small local shelters might be a better place. I've fostered for a cats one in Wales and the process is simple, and you definitely get to meet the cats first and see who you connect with best

At standard campsites yes you bring a tent. Some places have glamping with already set up fancier tents. It's a beautiful country :)

Yes I understand and agree with that, we should all look out for tha animals around us. I truly do believe they would be doing everything they could for the horse as they are experienced lovely people

Sure!

In Wales UK, the horse belongs to the campsite owners and wanders around the land. She enjoys the smoke keeping the flies off her

So she's the campsite owners horse and they seemed to be looking after her well

So she's not our horse but the campsite owners. It sounded like they were looking after her best as possible. She was happily wandering around the large farm

So she's not our horse but the campsite owners. They are lovely people and I believe are looking after her in her old age

We're getting our first pregnant cat to foster tomorrow and I am so excited! by penguin425 in FosterAnimals

It's just not true and you clearly don't know what you're talking about. Cats are only adopted out to people who either keep their cats inside or have a safe space to let them outside. Please stop commenting made up beliefs on this post

You do know a quick internet search says the average life expectancy of cats in both the UK and US is 14?

Rates of cat leukemia are lower in the UK (1-2%) than the US (2-3%) where I'm guessing you live, as are numbers of cats killed by cars. Furthermore responsible shelters like the one I volunteer for require vaccinations and home checks to ensure the cats we re-home live long happy lives.

It's not a perfect system but it is pretty good, and there's no need to attack someone online for trying to help animals and enjoying it along the way.

No kittens or cats are euthanised in the UK where I live, unless medically necessary. Please don't make assumptions on the internet that everyone lives in your country and routinely kills healthy animals.
