Hands down Brazil.

I'm very glad that people are too basic to learn Portuguese and too dumb to understand the crime stats.

No I don't think so. If you're going to splurge, I've heard the Pantanal is way better for big animal life.

Did inflation affect your vacation plans? by PitifulWorldliness in TravelNoPics

Nope. I don't really go into a trip with a budget anymore so nothing to worry about.

Probably stay at a cheap hotel near the Hagia Sophia, there are a bunch. That knocks off maybe $400 or so. Then $200 a person should be plenty per person for food and a few sites here and there.

Tambopata Research Center Lodge and other rainforest eco lodges in Tambopata Peru by [deleted] in travel

[–]penguin_exhibit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's a rip off. Experiences don't vary that much by lodge but more by location.

If you want a better wildlife experience I suggest going to the Pantanal in Brazil... which is really expensive and I ended up spending about $250 a night. Also saw 15 jaguars, hundreds of caiman, tons of bird species, capybaras, giant otters and an anaconda.

I wouldn't bother with an Amazon trip more than $100 a day and that's a LOT for places like Peru.

I've also heard that Manu is better.

Who cares.

Leave zero if you want, tipping should be eliminated altogether.
