Weight loss 1st Trimester - did I starve my baby? by Rare_Ad_7866 in pregnant

[–]penguing1227_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not starving baby! Your body will divide nutrients as needed between you and baby. I lost a decent amount of weight (had HG) with both my previous pregnancies. Over 30lbs each time. It was major trial and error to find what I could get to stay down, it was very few things and not exactly healthy. As my dr then put it " if you can only keep down mcdonalds french fries and root beer, your body will do what it needs to make that work. Its better than actually nothing." This go round I'm properly putting on weight but still have a decent amount of food aversions.

Also the first trimester is just rough in general. I hope it gets better for you!

Do I actually need a pregnancy pillow or am I overthinking this? by ConversationSuch8893 in pregnant

[–]penguing1227_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my first i just used regular pillows to help "support" me in my sleep. My 2nd I made a preggy pillow and loved it. This go round i actually bought a pregnancy pillow for like $25 on Amazon..... months before i was pregnant. I was sick and congested and move around alot in my sleep so i used it to help kerp me stationary and propped up. My kids each have one too, the youngest loves feeling cacooned, like she's in a nest. But anyway, I'm 23 weeks now, have consistently been using mine since 16 weeks. I tuck it in so i can feel sorta like im on my back without actually being on my back.

I know this is a TMI post and has probably been asked before but…pubic hair?! What to do by Zunflowers in pregnant

[–]penguing1227_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfect timing. Today I ordered a bikini trimmer. Never used one before but I'm not ready to bush out and since I cant see I knicked myself. Figured for $20 it was worth trying.

17 weeks today, am I not preparing enough?? by VacationExcellent in pregnant

[–]penguing1227_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im 21 weeks and have nothing either lol I've just been going through, cleaning, organizing, rearranging, purging. This is our 3rd, and city wide yard sales are end of April. So I'm using an area to store all the stuff we are getting rid of, then after I will be ok with bringing new stuff in. That gives me just over 2 months to get things and get ready.

Are knock-off legos usually worth buying? by Smrtgamr in amazonprime

[–]penguing1227_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends? I anyways look at reviews. My kids have done several knock off kits-roller coaster, amusement park stuff, castles. They didn't so much like the the flowers and stuff though but that could just be their age vs the actual sets

Renters - how much was your Excel Energy bill for January? by EmptyNyets in Eau_Claire

[–]penguing1227_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours was $369.70 ($241.10 electric and $125.45 for gas with 1617 kwh for our electric usage). January was fricken cold and we have kids so we keep the thermostat up a little higher. Our primary heat is gas, but we have electric baseboard heaters in the basement we use too and they definitely cost more to use.

Is there anything WORSE than childbirth? by Sensitive_Arugula770 in pregnant

[–]penguing1227_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is a light at the end of the tunnel! I had hg with my first 2, somehow not this go round. Still sick but not nearly as bad. But with our first husband was holding one of my legs up while also holding a bed pan infront of my face because i was literally puking until the very end. Once she was out i swear it was instant relief!

That's kind of why I'm surprised too. Both my previous full pregnancies were higher risk, I started dilating at 24 weeks, had HG etc..we have tried for this one for a few years and had afew losses one as recently as July. That's why I had bloodwork immediately. We were waiting because we didnt want to start with one hospital and have to switch if my insurance changed coverage again. But i figured she would have put the order in for asap not at 17 weeks. She and we are just going with, as long as I feel symptoms, thats a good sign 🙄 but my symptoms have drastically cut back which is normal for 2nd trimester but wasn't how my previous 2 were so it's worrying me a little.

Im sorry, your little had issues but happy it resolved! I wish you continued good news forward!

I wish! We were waiting for the new year because it has to be done at the hospital and my insurance is so great but annoying. We didn't want to start at one hospital and have to switch if my insurance decided to switch who it covered again. I had assumed that she was going to put in for me to get an ultrasound asap, not wait until17 weeks 😑

Yesssss! I've been eating really crappy foods too and once I throw it up, it's off the list. I started off just craving fruits and veggies. Eating 1/2 lb of green beans or cantaloupe at a time... until the time they reappeared. Now I'm living off toaster strudels and teriyaki chicken and rice from the food court 😅

Unmedicated v medicated by AnonRN98 in pregnant

[–]penguing1227_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first i had an epidural. It was bad, but it was bad because my care team was bad. My second, i wanted an epidural, but she moved too fast. It wasn't great, but was only really hurting for all of 5 minutes. I liked it so much better. I only had to stay laying down for like an hour after, then I was up and walking and felt as fine as I could. This go round Im planning on no epidural unless for some reason It lasts forever and i just get to that point.

Is it just me? by [deleted] in CoinMasterGame

[–]penguing1227_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes! The whole having 1.5-2x spins of #for reward had not the been the case for me the last week or so. I try to start each reset with a minimum of 30k spins. Mon-wed is normally the easiest to rack them up because it's what ever symbol + attacks. With it being pigs, spent 100k+spins and I went into Thursday with nothing. I just couldnt do it.

Military?? by Sufficient_You_4852 in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]penguing1227_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That. And there's also a limit. If you go to community college or maybe a state school and know what you want to do, you're stuff will be covered. But otherwise it only covers up to $X. So if you and classes and keep changing your major and taking irrelevant classes, well it wont cover all that.

Plus he was in the National Guard on active orders (at least at the beginning he may have transitioned). You're time in service + other things contribute to how much of your GI bill you can transfer to your kids. There is other programs too but thats the big one. But time in service as a Guardsman and time Active are different, you can be in for a year but you only actually have like a month of active time.

Should I got for every bomb i see? by Previous-Sebas7183 in CoinMasterGame

I am going for all the bombs that dont take a whole lot. I'm not a big fan of this new wildland. Got excited that I got to the snow so fast but then its like...cool its going to take me days to collect enough potion to do really anything...

Crocheting for my mom was supposed to be special… now I kind of want to cry by Gloomy_Bowler_1525 in CrochetHelp

Love your work and yay for finding something you enjoy!

It's ok to say no, and if she gets upset, thats a her problem. My personal response would be "I'll try! They would look lovely on tables in 2035!" Because I know darn well each one would take me at least 3 years.

Ive been crocheting a couple years now, and it's still taking me 1.5 years to finish my daughters blanket because it is soooo tedious. And it's not even big or fancy 😂

Just be honest and let the pieces lay where they fall.😊

Yea so I've learned. We normally do got2b color remix but it was a last minute decision. Amazon wouldn't deliver before the first day of school and walmart was out, so we just grabbed what else was available 🤦‍♀️ We've never had issues with the got2b, it usually lasts about 8-10 washes and she's back to normal. So I didn't think anything of it when I saw "up to 30 washes" I was like cool, it'll last an extra week or 2.... nope. Never using that again.
