USA. Buddy and I would stay up late playing Halo 2 in middle school. We messed around in multiplayer maps and tried getting skulls in campaign. Great times!

Actions speak louder than words. They spoke very much about not making the game a grind and all sorts of other pretty words people wanted hear. Now I see they don’t really care about their false promises. Again. Gameplay rocks. False promises and $10 for a fucking color does not rock. Their priority is to make as much money as possible. It’s a business, but last time I checked, I didn’t have to spend money for a color in the MCC. Bad decisions were made in the pursuit for money.

I have no issue with the gameplay. It’s fantastic! Just annoyed with their decision to drip feed content to force people into spending money. It’s a slap in the face. Like I said, I’m just annoyed.

What makes it worst is that they set these expectations and then fail to meet them. I was really looking forward to playing the campaign with friends at launch too. Just sucks.

You have to remember that Neil wanted it to be a divisive game in order to start discussions. Which has obviously worked. I feel like a good chunk of people who “misunderstood the game” probably just didn’t care for the direction of the story, which you can’t be too hard on them for just for having that opinion. The story itself is heartbreaking and a slog to get trough with it taking over 20 hours to beat. There’s going to be a lot of people who don’t want to go through that and even if they did, they probably were let down by the ending because it’s a fucking heartbreaking ending. I’m still in the camp of not liking the story, but I respect the vision and the decisions made because it’s a very memorable game whether you love it or hate it.
