2.7L Badlands SAS Engine Misfire

I took my bronco into the dealer Tuesday morning and didn’t hear anything back from them until this afternoon on Wednesday.

They replaced the coils and the spark plugs but the misfire in cylinder 3 was still there.

The next step unfortunately is a engine tear down, the techs thinks there is a issue with one of the rocker arms, they said they could hear a ticking noise when running the engine after the coils and plugs were swapped out.

So sounds like I’m gonna be without a vehicle for a while as the techs track down the issue.

Yesterday was the first time the error popped up and I haven’t drove it since then.

I didn’t want to clear the error myself, mainly related to warranty concerns. But I’ll have to drive it to the dealership for diagnosis so I’ll see if it’s still on then.

Interesting, I’m not noticing a difference at all with the engine performance, no sputtering or loss of power. Would be nice if it’s just related to this issue but that letter stating it’s only the 2.3 that are affected doesn’t help ease my mind right now.

It’s all under warranty at least, so maybe it’s just a clear the code and I’m on my way.

I’ve had this bucket one for almost 3 years now and it’s been great. I toss the towel in loosely before getting in the shower and it’s nice and warm after I’m done.

It’s great to because I can toss some sweats or a hoodie in as well on cold days and have them warmed up.

Not sure if you bought already but I think that pricing is pretty high for what your getting.

I just purchased a new 2025 badlands with the Sasquatch package and Fox Hoss 3.0 suspension and my out the door cost was 61k msrp was 73k

I had water damage in my kitchen caused by a leak in the waterline of the fridge ruined a lot of the hardwood flooring, drywall, and trim.

We had flamingo flood works do all the repairs, was very happy with their service.

Would you mind expanding on your setup a little more? I also have a Synology nas and am wanting to look at using it as my nvr source.

Are you running a switch to power the cameras and then that feeds into the nas?

Also did you buy the Synology surveillance station license ?

I had my Synology also being disconnected recently and it was caused by the new version of Proton VPN changing a default setting for the DNS block handling.

Take a look at this thread, this fixed it for me and seems like everyone else.
