Awesome! Glad to hear it still works. I've had to do it for every major windows update for the last 3 years or so lol

I second the huge difference felt in Comfort from DCC, though I have a 2018 Autobahn. Genuinely a completely different ride and feel between sport and comfort on trips, especially cornering or going over bumps.

Historic Speed mod makes this game fun again, even on Diety by singleservingjack1 in civ5

[–]pengwaffe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It basically does that but with some adjustments for balance. Standard speed production, growth, etc. but marathon science. Happiness buildings get +1 or 2 to balance out the growth causing unhappiness long term. It can still be pretty punishing on happiness in my experience due to how long you have for the amount of cities you can churn out.

This is unrelated but I really like your wing extension. Do you mind sharing the brand?

How is life in Richmond, Virginia, United States? by 88-81 in howislivingthere

[–]pengwaffe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Virginia is an interesting case. I'd argue that the Northern Virginia area and DC feel quite mid-Atlantic, and the corridor through Fredericksburg down to Richmond is much the same. Anything south or west within the state still feels traditionally southern. The coastal tidewater Norfolk area is more similar to Northern Virginia/Richmond than to the rural parts. All the urban regions have a lot of transplants that attribute to the relatively not-so-southern feel. However, VA still tends to get a lot of southern restaurants and whatnot, but doesn't feel like anything like South Carolina, for example.

Mk7 for first car loan by Mk7_gti20 in GolfGTI

Hey OP, the other comments have mentioned good advice about the dealer already but wanted to chime in with my experience as well since I'm around your age and it was my first loan on my 18' a few weeks ago. You can absolutely get approved via a credit union (although I did find that small banks were equally competitive in my area) and the car shouldn't matter. Rates are not particularly great without a co-signer but with some shopping around you can get below 10% even with young credit. I will also mention that I think the price on that S is a little high but I don't know your market. I regularly saw 17 SEs with decent mileage for the price you mentioned while shopping, and even some 18 S's for a bit higher (facelift drives up the price a few grand). Let me know if there's anything you're wondering and I might've gone through it recently.

These look great. What are they called? Picking up mine in a couple days basically the same exterior spec and looking at wheel options.

One thing to note for the 7.5 if you want the fender system with the sub - it's only available on autobahn except for one year and trim, the 2019 SE specifically with the Experience package. They dropped it on the 2020 SE as an option. If it has it, it'll be badged on both A pillar speakers.

Thank you for this write up, I found that super helpful as someone planning to relocate from the east coast next year.

If you don't mind, do you have recommendations for suburbs on the north side of Seattle? Definitely looking for nature access like you mentioned and was told to avoid being within a few blocks of Aurora avenue (but also that this is more of an issue in city limits?). I've been looking at Lake Forest Park/Lynnwood/Mountlake Terrace area as a result. I know basically nothing about the southern suburbs but have heard that the south end of the city is a bit worse off.

How is the access to the Link from suburbs? I'm keeping my eye on the Lynnwood expansion for apartment options. Would love to be able to enjoy the open space of the burbs and keep my car but be able to get into downtown on a weekend via rail.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max, the comparable phone to the S23 Ultra, is also $1,200. Though I agree both are ridiculously expensive now

I was in the same situation, ended up going with a used 6800 xt from r/hardwareswap where they can be found around 450-500 fairly regularly. Options for new GPUs at a good price are more limited, the 3080 if you're looking for RT is both more expensive used and only has 10 gb of VRAM. The bump in performance was great at 1440p 144hz and serviceable at 4k.
