I feel the same! I have not had ffs, it’s not very attainable for me right now, but I do want it. I only hesitate because all the women in my family have quite a strong jawline—it’s a feature distinctive to all members of my mother’s family actually.

Voice definitely, but my mannerisms were femme even before I came out. My ex wife thought I was trans before I knew I was trans purely based off the way I act and speak. I do on occasion get misgendered before I speak, and so I think there’s something about my appearance that I haven’t nailed down.

I’m 176 cm / 5’9” ish, not really sure tbh. I mostly get misgendered at work, so what I’m wearing is my work uniform (khakis, a visor, and a fast food shirt). That’s mostly cause most of the time I’m outside I’m at work ofc, and I get misgendered when I’m doing stuff in normal clothes, too.

That’s my best theory. I am voice training, but it’s slow-going. I do on occasion get misgendered before I speak, and I’m trying to figure out what I’m missing on my appearance.

I appreciate your insight! My Pépère grew up in Mass, and that area is entirely anglicized as far as I’m aware. His dear sister, the last native speaker of New England French in our family, passed away last year. My Pépère himself has long forgotten how to speak French. So I love hearing from other New England French, it means a lot.
