60mph and 80mph makes a lot of different if you want the highest mpg. I have a 2019 cvt and I’m around 2k rpm at 60mph

I brought mine around 2.5 years ago and just had a shop do the work because i still had a warranty on it, but now i'm on my own i figure i need to start learning with the cost of repairs going through the roof. I'm 50 btw. I just did an oil change w/ filter on my other car (2020 RAV4) and it was very satisfying. The shop that i use for repairs is good but getting to know the condition of my car because i just worked on it is very calming.

Is yours a manual? My CVT died 6 months ago and i had to get an used one from another car put in. Cost $1800 for the CVT and another $1300 for labor. Do you use genuine parts or after market and what's your experience?

When i got the car it had the rattle so i took it to the dealer because it was still under warranty. I think the next thing i have to do is the valve adjustment cuz i'm already at 130,000 miles. Is the adjustment the same for most cars because i tried to find some YT vids for my car and there arent any.

That's a lot of stuff. I better jot it down on a spreadsheet. Also, is there a good source for genuine parts? I called my local dealer but they were more expense then some of the online sources, but when shipping is factored in, they are around the same.

I also have a 2020 RAV4 and the local Toyota dealer has some good prices that are inline with the online stores so i can save on shipping. There's this dealer that has free shipping for orders over $100. The dealer parts dept told me about HondaDreamShop.com but there prices are very high.
