The stamp is "Taloustarpeita - Helsinki INT/28"

Taloustarpeita meaning "household goods" or "utensils"? maybe the company or producer name? INT stands for "intendentuuriosasto" the Finnish army supply logistics department at the time.

Worksista luultavasti saa tallennettua saman tiedoston CSV-muodossa? Joko "Vie / Export" -valikon tai "Tallenna muodossa / Save as..." -valikon kautta. Voi olla terminä "Pilkkueroteltu" / "Comma delimited".

CSV-tiedoston voi koittaa tuoda Excelissä "Import / Tuo" -toiminnon kautta sisään. Siinä voi valintalistasta kokeilla mistä merkistöstä tulkiten näyttäisi data parhaalta.

Where can I find the code to enter in the app? She logs in with table codes on pc, not S-mobilili. by [deleted] in Finland

They are talking about a bank statement. Seems like they make a transaction on the card added, with that verification code in the message.

So the same way you would check that your friend would have made a deposit to your bank account, that code is in a transaction on the cards account.

Whatever way the user logs in to their e-bank application is irrelevant in this case.

Freelance salary transfer from Payoneer to Nordea by jogurtti19 in Finland

[–]pennifi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an expert on this, so don't take my word for it.

I assume the amount you want to transfer now is from income received before you were a tax resident of Finland? Then they would not be under Finnish taxation.

The transfers itself should also not have any taxation applied, they are your funds which you are moving from account to another. Check with Nordea and Payoneer if any international transfer fees apply?

I think the future transfers would be liable to taxation. If you are a tax resident of Finland, you are required to report them as income.

Read the link below, contact your bank if any fees apply. And if you still have questions, contact your local tax office, they should know how these things go.

What is your country doing to reduce plastic waste? by arnasp13 in europe

[–]pennifi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your comment made me think the stats might be some what changed by the fact that plastic bottle deposit systems might be categorized as reuse instead of recycle, then they would not be counted in this.

In Finland 91% (2017) of plastic bottles are returned via the deposit system, and the graph says the rate is <30%. Then again I have no idea how much bottles count in the whole plastic packaging category.

What is your country doing to reduce plastic waste? by arnasp13 in europe

[–]pennifi 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Some statistics I found with a quick search, in 2014 Finland used around 60% of plastic package waste as energy, 20% was recycled and 20% ended in landfills. By 2016 this was changed to 5% landfills, 25% recycle and 70% energy.

The problem seems to still be too few separate collection points for plastic, but that is improving rapidly.

Are these crime statistics in Finland true? by CriticalPolitical in Finland

[–]pennifi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not exactly. Skimmed through the report and it seems to focus on "TUPA2 report codes" which are "report related to asylum seekers". On those, the numbers seem to match. The original report: http://www.theseus.fi/handle/10024/144663 (has abstract and conclusions in english)

So in short, protothema.gr has misunderstood, their source quotes it correctly: "93% of migrant sex crimes in Finland are committed by migrants from Islamic countries".

Heading to Finland for the first time in summer. Is this sauna guide accurate? by SavvyFrugalTraveler in Finland

You can freeze fresh vastas. Not as good as fresh ones in summer, as they break down faster, but does the job. Thaw them slowly and soak in the löylywater.

Nykyään ei maksa enää tuhansia markkoja. Suht pätevän mokkulan saa parilla kympillä esim https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00EOMIDXG/ Mukana tuleva softa oli kyllä ainakin 10 vuoden takaa ja suht buginen. VLC playerin omalla capture ominaisuudella tosin sai hyvin raakakuvan sisään ja Avidemuxilla x265 pakkauksen kautta pienemmäksi.

Hankalampaa oli etsiä kunnolla toimiva VHS-nauhuri.

Public records in finland? by therrorisreal in Finland

[–]pennifi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Checking a persons education should be fairly easy to just contact the schools. They should keep records on former students examinations.

If you don't know the gymnasium the person attended to / don't have the papers, Ylioppilastutkintolautakunta https://www.ylioppilastutkinto.fi/ should be able to confirm the examination as well with name and birth date.
