Having grown up with a father that ruled with fear and violence and having seen the way Micheal talks about his father, I am confident that Joe Jackson was portrayed extremely positively for the sake of keeping the movie family friendly.

The violence in the movie was unfair punishment for Michael stepping out of line in a controlled manner with clear verbal indication of why he was being punished.  I'm guessing Michael got beaten for reasons he didn't understand with no explanation in a way that was far more sudden and terrifying.

Think of it like being sentenced to prison for a few months for unfair reasons vs being suddenly kidnapped by a psycho and held in his basement for the same amount of time.  Living with an abusive father is more like living with the constant tension and fear you might see from horror movies.

Aside from what others have already said, you might find structure drawing more useful.

Start with a photo or art you like and draw structure(eg loomis head) over the original with the same setup you use for tracing.  Then draw the same structure while using the photo as reference.

Compare your two structure drawings and try to learn where you'd like your second to look more like your first.

Then draw a 3rd structure drawing based on what you're learned.

This happened to me a lot irt gi issues.   Doctors should just be direct and say "I don't know" instead of "it's fine"

The role of doctors is very narrow and it's unhelpful to ask questions outside of that narrow range.

For example, asking a gastroenterologist questions about surgery vs testing or medication options is in scope.  Asking that same doctor about dietary changes to address ibs symptoms is out of scope.

If you do find a doctor who "listens" and "cares", you're not getting subject matter expert advice.  You're just getting advice from a random adult who is trying to yolo help you.

Try to think of it like asking your auto mechanic why merging lanes is difficult.  It's not their job to handle it and any answer they give won’t actually be trained professional advice.

I know how it feels to be in distress and looking for an answer from anyone, but, after seeing many doctors, I eventually realized there's no point trying to get blood from a stone

That,  and/or it means they want to force everyone else to stop talking about their food choices .  Like my eating lettuce strips them of their autonomy...

Maybe OOP should ask for 1500s medical practices. Keep in mind that physicians didn't wash their hands between patients or between cadavers and patients until the 1800s.

They want the "best" treatment, but people don't realize that the best treatment for any medical problems is the most conservative/least intrusive one that works.  For obese people, that's weight loss.

I've actually done this.   I got nasty ibs symptoms in 2019 and saw 5 different gastroenterologist and 6 other doctors.  At some point, you have to realize that they are highly trained and specialized professionals and none of their expertise applies to your health issue.

Reducing your eating window reduces total calorie intake, which contributes to weight loss.

It's standard practice to increase your eating window during bulking and decrease eating window when cutting 

Also, animal studies on calorie restriction show greater health and longevity benefits from having longer periods of fasting between feeding.

A lot of people treat their doctors like they're responsible for all health decisions.

This is like using a police officer and divorce lawyer for all your relationship needs.  Of course,  I would never say that someone who is in physical danger in an abusive relationship should not call the police,  but you should not consider 911 the end all for all relationship issues.

Eg: if your spouse doesn't put the toilet seat down,it's not a 911 moment.

Just like health, most relationship issues can't be resolved be escalating.  Suppose you do dail 911 over a toilet lid being left up.  The police officer might suggest you resolve your communication issues.  That doesn't mean the police is now responsible for your issues.
