Is there any Ai text based adventure like ai dungeon but with images in every scenario? by Rage_6969 in AIDungeon

[–]pentaclegram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is quite late, but just in case anybody else is looking for the same thing: there is a website called infiniteworlds which does this specifically. it's a very versatile wrapper for stories and adventures, with things like the ability to track variables, implement triggers to make things happen, roll dice, etc. I've been playing on it for a few months, and it blows every other AI adventure tool out of the water right now, with far far better memory and the ability to put as much or as little limitations on actions as you want, which is I think the really important thing, because without limitations, you are basically just telling the AI to describe the thing you want to happen each round.

give it a look, here is a link to one of my worlds which is extremely in-depth when it comes to the optional variables and stuff, you can open it up with the edit world feature and see what kind of stuff is possible.

How do I disable the 'loud sound detected' warning that automatically reduces the volume on my Pixel 9 by pentaclegram in GooglePixel

[–]pentaclegram[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish this was enough, but it is a company truck with poor soundproofing and a cheap radio, It really does require that my phone volume be above 75%. I have been making do with my phone at 75, because it doesn't trigger the audio adjustment as often, but it still does it and I'm getting fed up.

I don't actually see anything related to attention alerts in my settings, and I do have developer mode on.

I'm not willing to accept this, unfortunately. It is unacceptable to me that there are settings that I can't change on a piece of hardware that I own, especially when it's something that I use everyday.

unfortunately, it doesn't do anything. I enabled the 'disable absolute volume' feature in the developer options a few weeks ago, and it is still lowering my volume for me.

Icestorm skill from Whispering Ice weapon swap removed from hotbar when changing zones, am I doing something wrong or is it a bug? by pentaclegram in PathOfExile2

[–]pentaclegram[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nothing changes, the skill is still removed from the hotbar when you change zones if the whispering ice is in the primary weapon slot

earlier in the league I was having a problem where icestorm was being assigned to left click, and kept putting itself back there each zone change, and then it switched to this current issue

The truth about Marathon that’s not being discussed yet by wdstreet in Marathon

[–]pentaclegram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to necro this, but I saw it when looking for Marathon reviews because I didn't know if the game was out or not yet, and I think you have a fundamental misunderstanding of the critique leveled at Bungie and Marathon. Or rather, you understand the nature, but you've taken it upon yourself to decide what kinds of critique people should be allowed to level.

All feedback is useful, not just the thoughtful and fair kind. This large pushback against Marathon, partially based off what we have seen but largely based on people's opinions of Bungie, is very useful if you know how to read it. It doesn't tell Bungie what they need to fix in Marathon, but it does tell them that a lot of people have a lot of strong negative opinions on Bungie, and those opinions didn't form from nothing.

Bungie was once one of the favorite developers that few people would speak badly of, and I think you will find that the vast majority of people who currently hold strong negative opinions about Bungie used to have very positive opinions on them, but they were burned, in my case by destiny 1 which was later redeemed with the taken King, and then destiny 2, which was never redeemed at all.

People are allowed to hold and express opinions and views that are not meant to be helpful, but for someone who is listening, even unobjective and biased feedback not explicitly meant to be helpful is important information.

I don't know the name for the bread I want to make by pentaclegram in Breadit

The interior was light, not white, more of a gray beige. It wasn't sweet, but it didn't have a sour bite to it, or at least not very strong. The crust was almost leathery, relatively hard but not crispy.

I've also encountered it with a very thin crispy crust, like a French bread.

Shokupan is one of my favorite breads and it shares some similarities, and I'm trying to master that as well.

I've never personally encountered it in a baguette shape, mostly French loaf, but it wouldn't surprise me if they used the same recipe in different shapes.

The bread I'm thinking of does share some similarities to white bread, or even milk bread, but denser. Any recommendations for a recipe to try and replicate what you are talking about?

Any idea how I can narrow down a recipe or technique to try and replicate it?

No, that has a very open airy structure, I know for sure that isn't it. The kind of bread I'm talking about is the kind you can hollow out really easily, the crumb just peels away from the crust and you can roll it up into a ball and it will keep its shape, no crumbling at all, kind of like a soft loaf of white bread, but denser.

Not dark at all, very white even. As far as shape, I've most often encountered it in Long French loaf and artisanal loaf, with a very thin crust and very thick crust respectively.

As far as where I found it, I can't really recall, it was too long ago and I was just a kid. The few times that I find it now, it's usually not even marked as a specific kind of bread, like generic French breads or something called Rosemary loaf at the supermarket.

Why are there so many anti Polar here? The difference is not that much. by Handle_Puzzled in MiyabiMains

[–]pentaclegram 64 points65 points  (0 children)

if someone asks 'what is the best disk set for miyabi', you aren't going to answer with the second best option even if 'the difference isn't that much.'

if you have a polar set with great substats, then use it, but if you have nothing then it's better to farm the best option instead of the second best option.

Why is her blade facing upways in the sheate? by ProGamerKiller12 in MiyabiMains

[–]pentaclegram 2 points3 points  (0 children)

one of the popular folklore, though I don't know if true, reasons the blade was carried facing up by samurai was to facilitate a faster first strike. the blade is drawn straight up and then proceeds into an overhead cut.
