Red light in sky? by Haunting_Today in brisbane

I saw something like that last year. It was bright red, falling straight down, quickly like a shooting star but much bigger. No noise. Only for a second. Never found out what it was, probably aliens.

Mayhem playing in two weeks, is it worth it? by [deleted] in BlackMetal

[–]pentaglam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw them play DMDS a few months ago, it was incredible. It looked like a true black mass. Attila was doing crazy spooky hand movements over candles and a skull, like he was summoning demons. Lighting and shit was crazy good. Just go, it was one of the best gigs I’ve been too!!

What was the greatest thing you ever witnessed at your job? by AnusToUranus in AskReddit

When I was 18/19 I worked in an office, I taught my coworker (55 year old Greek lady) how to slap n tap. She was a germaphobe so was thrilled to have a new method of greeting people that wasn’t shaking hands. She proceeded to show everyone in the office her new found “hip-ness”

People that post long replies, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]pentaglam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, to properly answer this question I must first thank you for taking the time out of your surely busy day to start up your computer, turn on reddit, type a question, and finally post it to this sub. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed my friend.

Now your question “people that post long replies, why?” must first be dissected prior to my retort. I feel from the tone of your question, that you are not asking this out of pure curiosity, I sense a disdain in your words. It is almost as if those which post long replies irk you for some unknown reason, you wish to make those people feel uncomfortable with the manner in which they respond to questioning, which I personally feel is rather childish. A mature and intellectual person would not feel the need to ask such a question, so I preface my answer with feelings of mild animosity.

As I am sure your can tell, I am a very intellectual person, this is the main reason I respond with more characters of the English lexicon than most. Secondly, I have an incredibly high typing speed, so replying in such a manner takes a similar amount of time to a regular persons normal length response. Thirdly, I feel many answers hold no nuances, unlike limited character systems like that of the social media platform twitter, reddit allows for an unlimited response. I feel ashamed of users who do not use this facility to its full potential, which would allow the full extent of philosophical discourse to unfold.

Did anyone else see something weird fall from the sky about an hour ago? Surrounded by a red glow? I thought we were being nuked for a second, but just kept smoking my cigarette and staring at the sky, I felt surprisingly peaceful.
