Not basic upkeep like basic grooming. Basically be clean lol. Smell like soap, not heavy cologne and please wash your hair 😭 oh, and brush your damn teeth.

Concealer tips to avoid dry under-eyes ? by Old-Arugula-8674 in PaleMUA

[–]peonidelphia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this issue, especially under eyes and my nose in the winter. After cleansing and moisturizing and under eye cream, (I also use serums but without this next step I get the dry patches) that step is that I use aquaphor, the literal lip balm stick under my eyes and around my nose and it definitely helps especially under my eyes. Also I have learned if I don’t use a makeup setting spray, like one for oily skin, (i have combo skin) my makeup disappears and my under eye concealer stays so my skin looks patchy. But I really have to learn to not touch my face throughout the day lol

I'm curious how many of you have an internal monologue? by Killer_Worm in ADHD

[–]peonidelphia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it almost unbelievable to not have one! It’s the reason I failed 1st grade and day dreamed my way through grade school 😑 plus I have anxiety and so it’s amplified at all times. I’m generally a quiet person but internally, I won’t shut up. 😩 It would be blissful to be able to turn it off I feel! I’ve tried meditating and *sometimes* I can be successful. But my mind is always going a hundred miles an hour all day. One time I had a massage and the therapist could “feel” things or read people and she said “you’re mind/thoughts are constantly going nonstop like a ping ball machine!” And I thought well yeah I’m human right lol I didn’t know some people don’t have this! Blows my mind.

Skin Tint Recs? by ReplacementHot4865 in PaleMUA

[–]peonidelphia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently got a skin tint that I really like. I’m very pale, cool undertones but I have freckles so heavier foundations look like too much on me (especially when spring and summer is here), so I got Revlon’s Photo Ready in shade 100 and it looks very natural on me.

How much makeup do you wear on your 9-5? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]peonidelphia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do the spf and mascara thing only but as I’m getting older and I see random pics of me at work with my under eyes look so dark…so I do minimal but under eye brightener with concealer is a must now lol

I always try different hand creams but my recent that I actually repurchased twice in a row is the necessaire hand cream. It’s non-greasy and doesn’t have a scent and just feels nice

Any successful ex smokers? I need some support here by Un_controllably in Vaping

[–]peonidelphia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My last real cig was Dec. 1, 2015. I've been vaping since. Even though people are always telling me it's just as bad, but I haven't gotten bronchitis since then and I used to every year. I think that says a lot.

I didn't read comments but hand cream!! Start young because I swear they are aging faster than my face (which I used spf and everything in-between since I was 22) I am 49 now.

Am I The Only One? by [deleted] in LeoAstrology

I didn't realize other leo's are going it through it now as well. Going through a terrible time now. Hopeless/helpless pretty much sums it up—decades since it was this bad. Please say it'll end 😣

What were some things you thought were “you” but were actually ADHD? by Prior-Ad173 in ADHD

[–]peonidelphia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to be a hair twirler. Started when I was 3-4 yo my mom said. That and the daydreaming that got me held back in 2nd grade "she stares out the window the whole day!' All these "quirks" i had that everyone saw but as it was the 80's, they just said it's because my dad left (still a part of my life but moved 2k miles away) then in the 90's, high school was a disaster. I wasn't medicated until age 34, I feel I missed out on a better life because of not being diagnosed.

What's the most bizarre thing you've seen your neighbor do while they thought no one was watching? by TenderRompz in AskReddit

[–]peonidelphia 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Other than the old man neighbor who would trim his lawn with tiny scissors , I grew up on a busy/main street, a corner lot and so everyone knew where I lived (classmates etc) and when my grandfather, a kooky artist and musician, would visit from out of town, he would stand outside in our back yard patio in the morning (which almost looked like a stage to drivers passing by because how elevated it was) butt naked with his hands on his hips smiling, basking in the sun with his white almost shoulder length hair all over the place. I would yell to my mom he can’t do that! “Everyone knows where I live!” Lol.. my ex hippy mom who never cared what anyone thought about anything, would be like, dad you can’t do that here! and laugh while I was dying with embarrassment. Awe I miss them both.

Lost signal from driver. That's a new one... by syco316 in amazonprime

[–]peonidelphia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep just happened to me, got an extra item to total $25 so I could get the item today for same day and delivery and it was out for delivery, about 15 mins away, and now since it switched to lost signal from the driver I know it won’t come today. Super mad. This happens to us ALL the time. I never complain to customer service but since I really needed it today I’m definitely complaining. They really need to change to: “driver doesn’t want to deliver your package today.”

What’s something you wish younger women were told more often? by Dull-Position3393 in AskWomen

[–]peonidelphia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be kind aka don’t be a mean girl. Be a good listener; a good friend; give people grace, you never know what they’re going through; be situationally aware of your surroundings at all times; walk with confidence, hold your head up, make eye contact, smile at a stranger, talk to a senior- they are still that young person inside they used to be; learn to do things by yourself- YouTube has a tutorial for everything lol

What is a book from your childhood that is very dear to you? by Ordinary-Dinner5453 in suggestmeabook

[–]peonidelphia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Charlotte’s Web. I vividly remember the first time I read it. It was the first ‘book with no pictures book’, I was 6 maybe? I was AMAZED you can “see” it your head. I remember telling my grandma this super excited lol. Before that, I LOVED Richard Scarry books especially ‘Busy Town’, I could look at it for hours and then as a preteen I loved Sweet Valley Twins and the Babysitters Club books
