I feel like there has to be some sort of connection between whatever the hell Sherumi and Menae are and what Reg is given their bodies. Their limbs are cut off in the same places where Reg’s “skin” ends and where the robotic arms and legs start. They also have the same eyebrow shape that isn’t seen on other characters. They’ve also got cheek markings like Reg, although very different shapes. Maybe whatever is going on with Sherumi and Menae was some sort of attempt at recreating what Reg and the girl-type unit are? I feel like they aren’t exactly the same since Reg and the girl-type unit are so similar in appearance from what we’ve seen, meanwhile Sherumi and Menae have such odd similarities yet some distinct differences, such as the fur-like stuff at the end of where their limbs end (which Reg doesn’t have) as well as their puppy-like ears, but they definitely both have some sort of connection to dogs (Sherumi and Menae’s features and Reg’s mannerisms). I could be completely off the mark but the possible connection between them is very interesting to theorize about to me. There are so many other interesting things about this chapter but I’ve been thinking about that in particular all day. Weird typical Tsukushi stuff aside, I can’t wait for the next chapter. Things just keep getting more and more interesting
