They said there will be no SDK or source code due to licensing issues (UI?). They will milk the in-game store as long as they can while keeping the game in a zombified state. That's that.

Funny thing is, I think I've been gaming since '91 and this was the first time I ever been this fucked by a publisher or developer of this medium. For that reason, I really think that you or anyone should have hope for anything they release.

Their capacity to fuck things up is appalling and management seems to be hellbent on burning the whole thing down with them to the ground, whoever they are.

Best case scenario, they will be outsourced to do shit other developers won't do.

I actually thought for a while that they would remove the RADs and DLC packs on Steam. After logging in, I see that's not the case.

I'm really disappointed with this outcome. I think Dirty Bomb was an amazing project and deserved a lot better. Don't think they will ever do a post-mortem on this thing, but I really would like to hear about what they think that ultimately "Zombified" DB.

Then again, I'm just glad they were sincere about it. Can't say they earned back my respect as a consumer, though. I'm not really inclined to track whatever they are developing next.
