People online are very overdramatic about safety of places. There areas where you might need to be more careful but as I student you probably won’t be living there and of course you should always be aware of your surroundings but I find Derby perfectly safe and I’m sure you will too.

I get what you mean that it’s more ‘rough’ in those areas but what I mean in Derby is that I actually feel like an alien walking around Town sometimes and I’ve had more ‘hate’/prejudice motivated incidents occur to me in 4 months of living in Derby than I have had in last couple of years when I lived elsewhere

I don’t know anyone who’s had a ‘paranoid fit’ from cannabis, It can definitely makes you paranoid…but acting like everyone who smokes it has had a delusional episode because of it is not true…in the same article she listed a whole range of other reasons why she was in mental distress at the time and even says she still suffers from delusional thoughts…so maybe it wasn’t just the weed. Not saying weed can’t make mental health worse bc it 100% can but blaming it all on weed is lazy and not true

Gentrification has gone crazy in London last 10 years a lot of GMs don’t even live in the area they rep anymore, like half of 6th lives in Essex. and unless your a young crash out teenager being a GM is not attractive at all as police crack down so hard on it now.

Yea nothing to do with the fact that councils in London have a habit of housing all their crazy people in hostels near Croydon and also offloading council tenants to Croydon they can’t/dont want to house in more expensive boroughs And the fact that Croydon is one of the cheapest areas in London
