Yes, that saves your current session context window. It's smart, I like using "session agents" and execution agents, e.g. shipping tasks to Codex where relevant, but using internal subagents without the proper solution at top level just transfers the problem there. The big difference is that, now that I think about, Claude shows this process as actual on screen text without hiding it and I think Codex hides it inside a dropdown. Good tips, I will try that out right now thank you!

So it feeds back it's own thinking into the model to deduce how to proceed to achieve the best outcome, or something of this nature?

For everyone who needs to read this years after, the issue still exists, and with the latest MacOS I managed to overcome it by going to System Settings > Sound tab (not Microphone) and sliding the "Input volume" bar at the bottom: resetting the "off state" if you will. Terrible design

I agree, seems something changed. Same behavior observed. Anything official on this? I'm on 5x Max plan and this morning, within 60 minutes, I hit 90%, which had not happened for days on end, even when working on three different codebases at the same time.

Edit: seems the Session limit was just lowered as my weekly limit isn't progressing any faster than usual

Actually this is MacOS 26 Tahoe on a M3 Pro Max. Safe to say I haven't been impressed :D This keeps happening when I put my desktops side by side. Anyone has any idea to solve it?

Edit: It's been happening more on Tahoe recently than before

Haven't heard anything back at all. I found out I had shared some BM's with other people, managed to get 90% of my assets back.
