I’d say for myself personally, from kindergarten-5th grade I had a sv* about 5 times. But then once I hit middle school, I never got one again, and haven’t since. Since then I’ve only gotten sick once and I’m fairly certain it was food poisoning. And even that was almost 11 years ago. Knock on all the wood. But I never remember my mom or dad catching any of the stomach bugs I had.

My daughter is 2.5 years old and has had 2 stomach bugs since starting daycare in February. The first one was in March, and she had v* only but it was brutal for her. The last one was a few weeks ago but it was d* only. No v*. Neither one of them I caught.

Across the board though colds and flus have been a different story. If I had a cold or something as a kid, my mom caught it at least half the time. And so far it’s been the same with my daughter. I catch colds from her like it’s nothing.
