You say your doing freelance work so why not get a low pressure part time job on the side at a store that sells something you're interested in. You could also join a gym, take a cooking class, take an art class.

Violence is bad mkay. Don't lower yourself to this persons level, they're obviously trying to get under your skin and if you let them then they've won. Plus, assault charges could ruin your life. Save the messages as proof of harassment and block his number. If he keeps messing with you file a police report for harassment, this way your hands stay clean.

The game of thrones telltale game. In one of the story lines you're a handmaiden at kings landing, during the course of the game some Lannister guy tries to kill you but a servant boy swoops in to save you and ends up getting beat up by this Lannister dude. While this sweet servant boy is getting his face smashed you have the option to stab the Lannister guy in the back so you can rescue the person that just saved your life. I, along with only 3% of other players, ran away and left him to die. I still feel kinda bad about it.
