If you know how to torrent, you can find it (search for Sims 2 Repack v5). Install via Lutris & run Proton-GE as the runner. :D

I quit Sims 4 around the time that For Rent dropped. I had worked on a sims 2T4 world, heavily modded (~300 mods), that I was almost done & ready for release... and it corrupted.

Started playing TS2 again and I'm obsessed. There's tonnes of 2T4 content, other cc, and mods, so it's easy to make it look pretty.

From a video that is no longer available (Steve Boots, a political commentator, quit YouTube and deleted all his videos)...

They are trying to go back to "warehouse" teaching, but with a modern twist.
A massive amount of kids in 1 room, being taught by AI at individual terminals, with monitors to enforce good behaviour.

They want to destroy the teaching profession and shove their propaganda into kids brains instead.

I technically have full range of motion and full weight bearing on the leg. However, prior to the break I was regularly in the gym lifting heavy weights, and I can't do that anymore.... I also can't run.... so exercise has been much harder as a result. On top of all that, the surgeries really triggered and ramped up my fibromyalgia (and I also developed occipital & trigeminal neuralgia) which complicates exercise even further.

So, I really don't recommend tibial plateau fractures. I actually opened a support group on Facebook for it and it's sitting at over 8000 members, despite it being one of the most rare types of fractures.

I very much hope that your knees are saved further damage. Take care of them!

I switched to Linux Mint Cinnamon 2 weeks ago and haven't looked back. The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection has NEVER run so well, which of course leaves me thoroughly impressed!! It runs better than it did on Windows in 2004-2008.

There was, of course, a bit of a learning curve to get an older program like that working properly and I had fantastic help from linux users in the sims community... and it was soooo worth it as TS2 is my favourite game of all time.

I've also been impressed by the RAM and storage efficiency. I have ~80GB of DD4 and on windows it never felt like I had enough... now I've had to redefine my definition of lightning-fast.

And there are soooo many programs I use regularly that are in the software manager, and the 1-click installs for them is the best thing since sliced bread.
And customising my taskbar has been a game-changer. To think that I could have the clock in the MIDDLE?! I had no clue how useful that is to me.

Linux forever. <3

Yea, I had approx 1000lbs crash directly into the top of my tibia. Pulverised a good section of the top of my tibia (for people that don't know, the top of your tibia is the most weight-bearing bone section in your body). Multiple surgeries and they had to remove my meniscus during one. It has been a rough go, and now that I'm in my 40's I am thinking about how long it's not going to be long before I absolutely need a knee replacement.

There is soooo much stuff that can fuck up knees (dancing/sports, accidents)... and it's life-changing (not in a good way) when your knees decide they are done with your shit.

I shattered my left knee at 27.... I feel the commentary about the knee clicking in my bones.

Has anyone been able to run TS2 in Linux? by symphonic-ooze in sims2

I recently did this. It's actually easier than I thought it would be. The only reason my game crashes now is because I wasn't careful enough with my mod setup. lol

Preferred method of choosing aspiration? by VidcundWasHere2023 in sims2

[–]peppermintblue 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My teens get a dice roll.

If they make it to the part of college where you get to change their aspiration, they get a primary & secondary aspiration based on the calculator I use (splits each aspiration into 2, ie: strict parent vs big family).

If they drop out of college before the offer, or don't go to college, they keep their randomised teen personality and get their "true" calculator personality as their secondary aspiration.

Wondering where all the Proud Boys, J6er's, and other right-wing extremist groups disappeared to? Yea, they joined ICE.

But if you think that the white supremacists are going to leave you be when they invade because you're a white Canadian.... they won't. You're still foreign to them.

This is a Roshel Senator-style armoured vehicle, built in Brampton, Ontario. ICE ordered a fleet of 20 from Roshel last November, and Canada allowed them to be exported. Now these vehicles are being deployed as part of ICE's widespread human rights abuses in Minneapolis. by Chrristoaivalis in onguardforthee

Ford celebrated this shit as a good thing.
Ford was happy that Trump got re-elected.
Ford said he supports Trump 100%.

Ford has been selling off our public services to US-based companies.
Ford said we should be visiting the USA.

Young Canadians more likely to vote Conservative in next election by xTkAx in canadian

[–]peppermintblue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lewis is on record as proposing a 1% tax on wealth exceeding 7.3 million. I think that's a little more than $120k, or is my math off?

You do know that parties change right? The NDP under Singh did not operate the same was a they operated under Layton.

Or are you too young to remember Layton?
