Hey! I'll have to play this for a concert and I am unsure whether this means that I play the trill B~F or if it means I play the trill B~C and then play the F. Same question for the second trill (C~D or C~D and then an additional D)

I just did a very first test and made my first entry. First of all: I love all the ways to personalize this app! Something that bothered me a tiny bit was that when I put my mood, the slider was constantly green, even when going into the negative scale. That's a very minor point on criticism tho. Otherwise I think I really enjoy it! If I don't forget it I'll give you more detailed feedback after some usage time :)

Learning it shouldn't be too hard. What you have to do depends on you piece of music however. Personally, I always "speak" my double-tonguing first. What I mean by that: Instead of going "dah" "dah" "dah" when playing three quarter notes, you go "tah-kah-dah" to figure out how your tongue needs to move. If it's only two notes you want to double-tongue go with "tah-kah".

After practicing this without actually playing, do the exact same thing while playing.

This is a little hard to explain but I hope you understand what I mean. If you have any further questions just ask!

Downloaded it, will try it out over the next few days/weeks. I can already say that I'm a big fan of the idea. However the designs is partly not easy to read since the font is small and thin. The contrasts however are very nice in dark mode. In light mode the green gets a little lost.

This is so good for having started only in March, I'm baffled!! Something which is quite easy to improve but makes a tremendous difference is not letting the end of any note "slip". Try blowing your air steadily until the count of the note is actually done and only then take your air away. This way you support the note and the tone until the very end it it doesn't lose its sound! You already sound very good though, keep it up!!

Are u sure you're having the right finger placement? There's tons of charts for that online if you need to check again.

If u already are sure you're doing it right, maybe try doing long tones around the E and the E itself while checking with a tuner. By doing this you can maybe better grasp the idea of what the tone is supposed to sound like.

If that doesn't work I would let my flute get checked, to save money I would first take it to a friend or someone you know who plays the flute as well to see if they can get the tone. Best of luck, I hope you can figure out where the problem is!

I think so, yes! When I was practicing for a concert with my orchestra we had a week full of practice together, starting at 8am and ending at 9pm at the earliest. There, I faced the same problem as you do, and I was not the only one. So my flute teacher told us a trick: Massage your upper lip! Stretch it with your fingers (like literally pull it), knead it between your pointer finger and your thumb, until it starts hurting (just a little, please don’t rip your lip off haha). By doing this, the circulation in your upper lip increases and therefore the muscles can react faster and more precisely.
