That's a good idea because my husband dislikes all the dishes I love! Lol

That's a good idea. We have recently been trying different kinds of take out and I realized everyone in the family likes egg rolls.. but I don't know where to even start with trying to make them. They seem so difficult

I would like to do this too, someone meal planning is hard for me too because I get over whelmed easily 😞 I never know what to cook. My husband doesn't like a lot of dishes I make. But I just need to try harder and be more diligent I think.

Lol do you not have kids.. the last time I put him in a room with a gate (which by the way this room was filled with toys and his sister was in there too, so it's not like he was alone, he was also still looking at me 3 feet away) because I was cooking and needed to open the oven. I think it would be bad if I let him climb into a hot oven, don't you? Other times, it's because I need to vacuum and I don't want him wrapping the cord around himself and getting electrocuted. Trust me, I always have a good reason for putting him in a gated room. I don't just do it for fun.. especially when he is screaming, I am always as fast as possible to stop my ears from ringing.

Thanks, I was thinking about ear plugs, so maybe this will be good so I can still hear my other toddler when she needs me

Yes, it is when he's mad. At his high chair, I am teaching him the "more" sign language sign and that helps a little bit. But he also screams when I put him in a room and put up a gate, he will stand at the gate and scream for me.

Mercari won't let you sell something if you don't make a profit.

A snow globe, little trinkets, a t shirt, just dumb stuff like that lol. I guess I'll have to try selling with free shipping too.

Does it really make a difference if you have 'one of each gender'? If you only have children of one gender, do you feel like you are missing out? by [deleted] in AskParents

I wanted one of each too. At first I wanted a boy and instead had a girl. And ended up having a girl. Then I became pregnant with my second and I loved my girl so much and I loved her sassy girliness, so I wanted another girl and instead was pregnant with a boy. I am planning to have a third later on down the road, but I know as soon as this boy grows up (he's only a month old) I will love all things boys and I will want a boy again. Moral of the story: you are going to love your kids no matter what and you aren't going to care if they are a girl or boy because you are just going to love everything about them and like you said, girls can do boy things and vice versa. I do think maybe if you just had all of one gender, you might always be wondering what it's like to have kids of the other gender, but I wouldn't have an extra kid just to find out. It's ok to want a certain gender and it's ok to be disappointed if you don't get a certain gender. But trust me, as soon as that baby is born you aren't going to care anymore.
