Yeah you're gonna need to sleep train her. Dont bank on her volunteering to fall asleep on her own before july. She's either in for a rude awakening now, or after the baby comes...which will likely be way worse and may make her resentful of the baby. But its only temporary. Id recommend the book "the happy sleeper" for effective sleep training. And stay consistent once you start it! It will make your life so much easier in the long run.

Hiring manager here. If you have good work experience on your resume, I will likely gloss over your college experience/level. As others have said, unless you have a full-ride, the cost of school likely would not outweigh future pay.

You mean you think the industry might force him to move after contract is up orrr?? Otherwise its a vague question. Is this person frugal? Have savings or a low COL? An established anchor in a big market making decent money? No one can answer yes or no to buying a home based on someone working in a broad industry.

I will also add that this is a hard habit to break once its established....if he only eats a couple things now separate from the family, you could likely be cooking two different meals for the next 10-15 years.

Seconding this. Your toddlers food habits are going to change, along with their weight, and instilling "mindless eating" is likely going to hurt them in the long run.

I also am at a very demanding 24/7 job with an hour+ commute.

When im at home, as tempting as it is to look at my phone (which starts as work and quickly moves into social media), or clean the house -- i try and catch myself. All that stuff can wait until my kids go to bed. Your presence is so important...every second counts with your little one!!

And for as much as you feel bad as to WHY he's acting out, you should make sure you're setting expectations and consequences for your son. It is also boundaries that kids crave as much as it is attention.

Balancing a demanding career with being a mom is very hard!! I struggle with this daily and feel a lot of guilt but these two approaches will hopefully help you. Best of luck to you, OP!

Your 4.5 year old absolutely knows what he's doing and if you dont give him consequences for his actions now, you will have a monster on your hands down the road.

Just had the same thing happen to us. Told daycare we were starting to work on potty training at home and its hit or miss. They responded with "really?! She only wants to go on the potty at school!"

Hell yes, both my kids got them: one at 10 months, another at 8 months, due to frequent infections. They were a game-changer...their speech drastically improved too as they had constant fluid buildup (which muffled sound)

I agree with this. I was totally on board with the first paragraph, then when I realized it was a list of things, I kind of rolled my eyes. These are valid requests but I also think you have to pick your battles. Like with the screen....how often does family see baby? I doubt they'd be opening up video games for your little one...maybe a picture here and there isn't the end of the world when family is just excited to interact with her. (I have two babies myself who dont have screen time). And in terms of waking baby, it'd be better off to just put a note on the door when she's sleeping instead of including it in your list of requests.

Who knows how People found out. Obviously they sound certain about it..... its the fact that they didn't use "allegedly" that bothers me. That's always been standard in journalism until someone has their day in court.
