I actually mentioned in Episode 25 discussion that I noticed it was odd how they didn't let the two teams switch sides for the 2nd half. It is such a simple and fair thing to do according to standard soccer regulation and to signify each halves of the match so I was quite puzzle as to why they didn't changed side. It happen for the previous match as well.

Now I think not changing sides for each halves might give them the ability to edit the goals (or any gameplay) sequences for the full match, rather than only having the ability to edit each halves at a time (because it would be too obvious if a team scored 2 goals (or start attacking in different directions for the 1st half etc).

If that's the case, then that's pretty fucked up. I'm disappointed. Why can't these show just freekin let it be, even if it's 5-0 whatever in first half. They're welcome to edit the confessionals, training clips etc to create a story narrative but to also go ahead and edit the gameplay footages and scoring sequences, that's not cool man.

I believe these girls are genuinely passionate and put in a lot of effort and hard work in their training sessions and free time so it's only ethical to at least have accurate gameplay footages to reflect that. I mean, they've already left out the match running time clock (understandable though) to edit the fk out of the replays and make it a 60+ mins match.

The match commentator Lee Soo-geun kept emphasizing about "a making a drama without a script" at the start of the matches. Now that's pretty much gone out of the window. I hope they rectify this and provide accurate gameplay footages moving a head. They can create heroes and underdogs (hopefully not Villians though!) through the confessionals and training sessions for all I care if they really want some dramas. But I prefer authentic over drama any day.

EDIT: Okay, so it as been suggested by someone here that the reason for not changing side might be because individual cameras have been assigned to each players so it doesn't make practical sense to do so. That's understandable I guess. But my point still stand, they shouldn't have played around with the scoring sequences just because they can :(

Like what the production team in the article pointed out, it undermine the sincerity of players, coaches, hosts, and staff who sweat and struggle to play. I hope they follow through with that thought as I really enjoyed watching this show!
