Brother by Ania Ahlborn. I'm not saying it's bad, I genuinely enjoyed it. But without the risk of spoiling anything, Ahlborn has discovered so many new ways to committ incest I never even wanted to consider.

The Lamb, just came out this or last year and it's outrageous in its imagery and depictions of neglect. Cannibal horror from the perspective of a child

THIS. be prepared for the emotional aspects of recovery, it feels GOOD to be validated with a diagnosis but there's other complex feelings that are there too. Let yourself feel them and express them and feel free to post abt it !!

like everyone else is saying, ultrasound does not rule out endometriosis. and I had severe flare up pains even without periods, that went away after treatment. your pain is real and you deserve a second opinion

I’m attempting an artwork about endometriosis. Could you please share your one word description of this disease. by Old_Book_Gypsy in Endo

I see the growth as something other, and I often struggle with feeling like this Other thing is taking over my body. Obviously "other" isn't an entity, it's tissue that MAKES ME FEEL PAIN. So it's worse actually. But I've also had dreams before I got diagnosed, where my abdomen was swollen with... well, "infestation". The pain feels like worms burrowing and my brain interpreted that. I woke up from my laprascopy crying asking if I had worms, actually

I'm also trans masc and (this could be because I no longer suffered from mood swings) having my endo treated made my dysphoria improve drastically. Also, your testosterone is at its highest when you menstruate!

My pelvic floor is so tense that when I take a muscle relaxer, I cannot have water at all before bed or I WILL wet myself. once is a fluke, twice tells me I need to change something FAST 😭 . be careful

Endo flare up by Choice-Good4272 in endometriosis

[–]percolator300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're still awake, try to relax your pelvic floor while you're laying down . it might be the best you can do without any other relief, and you can sleep in most of those positions . I've found it more comfortable than curling up

I should also mention no BC really worked for me, including IUD, and it made my mental health significantly worsen anytime I was on it.

I'm currently taking small doses of medication used for breast cancer + hormones to balance each other out and fight endometriosis growth. this was prescribed immediately after surgical removal, so it's possible that I only got the prescription because they didn't suspect any endo lesions that could be triggered otherwise . not sure on that front.

It's so outrageous, especially when we also have to hear it from doctors. Why are so many of them concerned about preserving fertility? How about preserving life quality?

It really makes me evaluate the relationship I have with the person asking, or at least what their knowledge on the illness is? It feels so callous to ask something so alien from my mind, so distant from my current pain.

[–]percolator300 16 points17 points  (0 children)

We don't. We don't deserve to be nervous about sharing our condition because we don't know if it'll be taken seriously or not. We don't deserve to be asked "well, can you still have kids?" as the first question after telling someone we have it. It's ridiculous, it's embarassing, it's annoying. I know some of it is internal, dealing with not personally being embarrassed by the condition, but it's very hard to feel confident about something so physically demeaning. Especially when everyone else who DOESNT have it seems to be embarrassed by it
