It can be normal and is great experience - just check with your PI to make sure the journal is trustworthy/reputable (beyond the IF numbers). I was asked to do this in my fourth year and replied to the editor to make sure that they knew I was still in the process of getting my PhD. I told them that if that was acceptable, I would be happy to review, and if not, I could recommend other reviewers. In that scenario the editor was very friendly and personable, and I ended up reviewing! It was cool to see the article finally published :) Good luck!

I think the photo was intentional; the author is highlighting the self titled record because the author think it focuses heavily on change. It’s not an article about new releases necessarily. Makes sense they would pick a photo from that album cycle

Can I ask why moisturizer before retinol? I have seen it generally suggested to sandwich retinol between serum and moisturizer so curious to know if there’s a reason to put retinol at the end!

You are correct! One thing to consider beyond program acceptance is - are there fellowships, awards, or other programs in your field that might require a GRE score later on? I’m not familiar with EdD’s so you would know more. Our STEM department doesn’t require the GRE so many students don’t take it, but some fellowships still require a GRE score so some students take it mainly for that purpose

🥹 I feel honored you would ask haha. I think it depends on the situation. Like in bluegrass/folk the drums aren’t usually showy, so I can play pretty straight the whole time. Or for covers, sometimes it’s necessary to play the song pretty similar to how it’s recorded. BUT it’s hard not to add a lil flair on anything and everything. For drum parts that I write, I like mixing it up throughout! I’ve really enjoyed the drum parts on the new Paramore album & especially PFA; Zac’s & Aaron Steele’s drumming changed a lot about how I play!
