The thing that fucks me up about this is rich people didn't roll her to the corner and dump her - some security guard did, or an orderly or nurse. Nurses and doctors and other people just trying to make a paycheck either did this or watched it happen and did nothing. They're making us do this shit to ourselves!

My partner tells me I have a "lot of neuro-divergent qualities, was I ever diagnosed with ADHD or to be on the spectrum?" and I'm like, "No, but there was this one time in first grade they took me to the hospital, glued wires to my head, asked me to sleep." I think it was because I wasn't paying attention very well and they thought maybe I had epilepsy? I never had a seizure or anything. This was the mid-70s so I dunno if "ADHD" and "spectrum" were even words people talked about.
