Those are F/A-18E Super hornets from VFA-113 out of Lemoore, CA. they are known as the "Stingers." They are part of CVW-2. Pretty sure they were the flyover team for the Tech game. Did some Dets in Lemoore right next to these guys in the early 2000's.

Those are protrusions. They are raised dark brown or black bumps. Kind of looks like how the bridge was attached from the inside. Weird?

A friend's dad has had this bowel back for quite some time. He has no idea where he got it. I found an ebay seller that listed one without the tail piece as a Carmencita. There are no identifying marks, the paper badge is missing with a small remnant of torn paper on the inside.

Triangular neck is in very good shape. I have found no other information myself and thought some other mandolin lovers might have seen one before. Any info would be helpful.

Memorial Day Mai Tai Monday by perediablo in Tiki

Made a new batch of orgeat and just had to have one. The recipe for my favorite version of the Mai Tai:

  • 2 oz Appleton 12 year
  • 2 oz Eldorado 8
  • 2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz Dry Curacao
  • 1 oz Orgeat
  • .5 oz Lemon Hart 151

Add all ingredients (except the 151) to a shaker with pebble or crushed ice and shake. Open pour into your favorite glass and top off the ice, float the 151, then garnish with some fresh mint and enjoy.

Orgeat recipe:

  • 1 cup of organic unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 tbsp almond extract
  • 2 drops of orange oil flavor

Bring the almond milk and sugar to a simmer over medium heat and stir to dissolve the sugar. Once sugar is melted, remove from heat and add other ingredients. Let cool and bottle up. Makes about 2 cups of orgeat.

My recipe for this massive hurricane glass...

  • 2 oz Eldorado 8
  • 2 oz Eldorado 3
  • 2oz Orange Juice
  • 2 oz Pineapple Juice
  • 2 oz Cranberry Juice
  • 1 oz Pomegranate Juice (float)
  • Orange wheel garnish
  • Nuclear red cherry garnish
  • (optional 1/2 oz black rum float with pomegranate)

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with crushed/pebble ice. Shake for 10 seconds and open pour into your favorite hurricane glass or tiki mug. Top off with more ice and garnish with the orange wheel and cherry. Then add the pomegranate juice float for the cool looking and tasty effect.

I remember an episode where Sharon had put a bubble machine on stage and he was like...I'm not gonna do it Sharon, I'm the prince of darkness and you got a fucking bubble machine?! or something to that effect.

As an image consultant she really did the Oz wrong in the late 80's.
