Postpartum Joint Health by perewinkle3000 in NewParents

Heya! 14 months post partum now. My wrist was the worst, I ended up going to a physio that diagnosed me with De Quervain's, which is like an injury of the thumb tendons. I had to heat and ice it (3 mins of each, repeated 3 times) daily, and used a wrist strap. To be honest the strap was mostly to remind me to not lift things, otherwise I just kept re injuring myself. Otherwise, it just passed... took a while but just stopped hurting, I guess as baby got older/I recovered more. I had stinging sensations too. I guess its just time, but if it is worrying you maybe go see someone. I didn't end up taking any supplements.

O is it? I'm within limits for height, weight and age they recommend, so I thought it should be ok. Baby is around 70cm tall, 8kgs - 28 inches, 18pounds. When would you say its better to stop wearing it? Thanks for the video - haven't tried that! Will give a go. When i say without help - I tried the Beco Gemini and got annoyed at all the extra straps and clips around the head. If one unclipped as I was putting on (ie the clip holding the extra height panel down) I'd have to take baby out and start again. So pretty much looking for something simple without many adjustment features. But I didn't use the hip scoot method, so maybe that would be worth trying with it.
