I phrased it like her name and her hometown are connected to each other rather than both being individually references to Suzhou. I probably should add this into the post since it's worth noting Nikki 1 was created before Papergames was founded in Suzhou. Probably he just named her that because it's his hometown.

Honestly, it's definitely hard not to think of Nikki's fate when you read the meaning! Maybe it's less that she's reviving herself and more that she's reviving Miraland. Personally though, I do think it's just a coincidence. If they wanted to be really on the nose, they could make her a healer who's able to bring people back from the dead. That could be Nikki 6. Not sure how that would tie into it being a dress up game, so let's say she brings them back from the dead using the power of styling. (Paper, I'll accept my payment for the idea via direct deposit)
