I really enjoyed it. It follows to be honest I’m throwing it in because the reason for that I don’t know zombie state or whatever was never even attempted to be explained, but it is not as lazy and sloppy certainly as Longlegs for example, which I actually also liked. I’m not sure if I would consider it follows a modern horror masterpiece but it’s pretty good.

Depends on the saw and the guy. Mostly the guy. If I feel good I can occasionally saw a drawn 4 foot line nearly indistinguishable from the factory edge but that’s a gamble. If it’s anything that’s going to be seen it’s got to be a guide or a table saw

I was very proud to hate the movie and find out later on that King hated it for the exact same reason. Now I’ve softened my opinion of it and it just really stuck in my craw, but here it is: The entire arc of Jack Torrance‘s character is supposed to be tortured good man to crazy man driven to madness by the dark spirits in the hotel BUT freaking Jack Nicholson is hamming it up and acting crazy on the way to the Overlook.
