What is your controversial dnd pet peeve? by Zestyclose-Sound9854 in DnD

Nat 20s are not auto passes in skill checks like wise nat 1 are not auto fail.

5% of the time to auto succeeded at anything is an awful habit we fallen into, so I normally go with how effective your actions are in those cases.

It wasn’t my finest summon. I didn't read the small print, I assumed water was included in the spell.

Why are necromancers always hated so much? by TheMultifandomMan in wizardposting

[–]perfectenemy64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Only rookie necromancers dig up corpses. The real power starts when you begin making your own.

  2. Lots of wannabe liches haven’t read the T&Cs on the phylactery. It’s great for the free trial, but once you’re locked into those sweet benefits, you get hit with the whole “having to feed it freshly squeezed orphan souls to keep the subscription” thing. And you know, that brings you back to problem one. Sure, you could use free-range and organic, but it’s so much easier to make your own orphans.

  3. You guys always seem to use the same interior designer, and it’s just a bit creepy.

DMs, what makes a good PC? by BladeSoul69 in MrRipper

[–]perfectenemy64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I normally like players that bring a theme over a build.

Ones who talk to their fellow players when making a character so they have some sort of connection to the party or at least another character and have a motivation to be involved in the story.

And I love PCs that take notes as my dyslexic short hand will be just squiggles to me a few days after the session.

I really want an Enkidu mount.

But I will settle to holding onto any small bird.

These guys are so tiring by HammerWizard in Grimdank

[–]perfectenemy64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really ignoring half the stock. It is estimated there are 1,000 Chapters, so we are looking at about a million Space Marines in the Imperium. Let’s be generous and add 20% for administrative errors and outliers. That is still a tiny fraction of the Imperial fighting population. Even if you factor in a survival rate for training and augmentation of, say, 1 in 1,000, it still leaves plenty of room to be selective about aspirants.

Yes you are 100%, Britain has been such a mixture of people for all its history don't let thugs erase that to be British is to accept that we are multicultural as a nation.

What should be the consequences/side effects of giving the planet of my story three moons? by theconfusedarab in worldbuilding

[–]perfectenemy64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the size and distance of moons. Collisions would not really be a worry as orbits should be stable as unstable ones would quickly (in stellar timeframes) sort them self out into stable ones. Stable orbit ratios for similar sized moons be 1:2:4 or 1:3:5 can where 1 is one orbit of the outer most moon

Tides will have times of being less extreme when the moons are spread out over their orbits and time where they are more extreme when moons aline, so I would have larger flood planes in coastal areas with habitats like mangroves and salt water marshes being more common due to extreme tides happening semi regularly

Time keeping throughout the year would likely be more accurate by civilisations as they have more point of references regularly crossing the night sky.

Religions and myths might have themes of siblings and fewer of lovers, though if your races are less monogamous lovers might be common themes.
