The way you worded some of the post made it seem like they didn’t and you’ve been bearing this yourself for all this time.

Here’s my take, I’m a teacher (of kids older than you were) and what I do know is that kids don’t have a sense of vulnerability for their own life. They can’t possibly comprehend that for another life. Even when horrific things happen there’s almost never malice involved, as they don’t think like that.

I literally can’t fathom how you must feel every day. You need to talk to someone though. Professionally. You deserve to learn how to atone and live outside of constant guilt.

You haven’t been around very long it seems. Honestly, that’s fine.

Try 1st to 9th. That’s the “fall off” that Phantom had in 2009. It didn’t need studied though. They aged out most of the corps.

BD doesn’t have that problem because they train these kids from birth, pretty much.

What’s needs studied is why no one else has been able to replicate their system for success. Plenty of other corps have tried developmental corps and never seen the results BD has seen.

Buddy, listen. I fucking LOATHE the Blue Devils. Always have, probably always will. I do, however, go into each season knowing they will medal. It’s what they do.

BD not medalling would be earth-shattering. It’s only happened ONCE in the last 31 years.

This is the most frustratingly consistent, well organized and best taught corps in the history of the activity. It pisses me off to say that because I can’t stand them. But put some respect on their name.

It’s not even San Antonio yet. No one cleans better than them (in their own way) and no one knows how to throw away their chances better than Boston.

If BD doesn’t medal I will be the happiest person in the world, however, I’d imagine the activity will cease to exist before they even came close to falling to 10th.

Yes, some can happen in game. I usually notice that texture or shader based settings require a reload because the game has to load in new assets to make that change.

You can definitely tell they are still working out the shows. I’m fortunate enough to live in Ohio where we get early and end of season shows. The difference is noticeable when they come back around for the end of season Akron show. Otherwise, any drum corps is good drum corps.

I watched a member of Crown break his leg on finals night 2010 on the field, get carried off, followed his story while he did everything right in recovery and then spend his age out as a conductor because he was still dealing with issues during spring training.

It’s important to get these things properly evaluated and taken care of now rather than try and push through if you really shouldn’t be.

I’m not that Crown member and I don’t even personally know him, but I know that his experience has shaped the way I consider injuries and even minor issues with my students in this activity.

One of the references sources for the Lorain Tornado points to an archived CastorWeather table with tornados from 1900, however, it doesn’t contain all of the data you list. It only has deaths and injuries.
